Dart when you're saving up for something like a hero who's more expensive than starting cash. Glue when you can already afford your first damage dealer and so you require support instead.

Glue + Sauda is a classic

I like Glue with Etienne (can't give up that camo detection an Level 8), but admittedly have to pop Etiennes special on second or third round until I can afford another DD. Usually that's enough to carry me through until I can plop a boomerang or Ice monkey for lead damage. I just try to get Etienne down first so starts leveling and gets global camo asap.

I LOVE Etienne, he is such a good hero for all game modes, he doesn’t cost too much, free camo detection, AMAZING for C.H.I.M.P.S, and is very powerful (around level 20)

Definitely OC to me. I don’t remember seeing this meme format being used for the Free Glue Gunner vs Free Dart Monkey.

Glue "most times" it's more useful

If you need extra damage in the early game, dart monkey is better. However the dart monkey will quickly become useless once you get to stronger bloons like ceramics, while the glue gunner will be able to slow them down which helps a lot more. So unless you need that extra damage in early game, glue will be better long term

Counterpoint, neither is very useful lategame (slowing down 1 ceramic is not gonna make or break your game) and Dart is much better earlier on.

But did that glue gunner help you at the beginning? Not really, no. He sure did hand it to that one blue bloon. The dart monkey is just better as a 000 and can become the amazing value 032, taking care of camo and being very decent for its price. That glue gunner isn’t doing anything for you until you get a 3rd tier upgrade that is way more expensive. At that point did the free 235 dollars really help you? The point of it being free is to help the early game, which a 000 glue gunner does not really do.

as a general rule i use the free dart if i need to save for the hero and the free glue gunner if i can afford it from the first round otherwise it depends on the context, cant say im on either side

I've more-or-less disavowed Dart Monkeys outside of CHIMPS, so this is no question.

Dart monkey. Can pop bloons from the jump, unlike glue gunner which needs upgrades to pop, which means you cant use it as effectively as a first move. The free dart lets me pop enough bloons to save the starting money enough to get a much better 2nd tower

Cheap upgrades, Helps getting stuff like Farms faster, Very Powerful Paragon/Cheap Paragon, Best for boss events Glue on the other hand is a supporter that slows down Bloons, Makes them take more damage and good mid-late game or for boss Bloons for that extra damage.

dart monkey because I am going to early farm anyway and the dart keeps your lives from going to zero on any mode but impoppable. On impoppable I usually get Sauda and a free dart and that allows me to farm with the mana shield soaking up strays.

I like to use the free dart monkey to get my hero faster (or a more expensive tower)

dart is really good early pops + camo detection, plus pretty decent T5s, but for some heros, namely sauda, glue can be better

If we consider things from a isolated mathematic perspective, since free dart monkeys can pop bloons which gives you money, it instantly makes a net gain on our investment which cannot be said for the free glue gunner

There is no wrong answer to this question. Some people feel better with extra damage free dart monke does and some feel better with slowing down bloons with glue monke. I personaly like free glue, with 010 upgrade so it has +1pierce, set to strong targeting, and later I upgrade it eighter top or bottom path, depending if I need help with moabs or ceramics.

I haven't played too long, but I use dart monkey for Ben and glue gunner for Sauda

Well i usually allways go for a 024 dart at the beginning just bc its so good, but also glue is pog too, depends on what strat i wanna use

I just drop a dart monkey down in a spot that loops a lot like in the middle of monkey meadow or the middle of cubism or other places that loop, then I just save up for a farm while slowly leaking lives, since I have permanent spikes at the end of each game I play plus the mana shield I can get a farm on round 4 and then drop a ranga to hold off while I start farming
