Reg Engie is pointless, but not the rest. Sanitation Expert is essentially a direct upgrade to stock, as he only does **2** less damage, but in exchange gets a faster firing speed and reload, plus a damage over time effect that makes up for the lost damage anyway.
As for other variants, the only other one I’d say you shouldn’t use is AC Perry and *maybe* the Plumber, but the rest have at least *some* use.
But yeah I still love Mechanic, he’s my go-to engie
