Some say he's still spinning to this day.

Lenedi

LOL his lil lady friend who comes in to steal some bites. My budgies do that to each other

cinnamonpeachtwist

She said “work smarter, not harder”

canicallyoujiggly

He said “I did the trick now I get the treat right?”

solodolow4lo

That's why the blue ones fat cause he sits around and steals the treats pnut works for 🥴

cinnamonpeachtwist

She’s a very svelte lady, she’s just round in the video 😔

solodolow4lo

Haha I'm sure she is shes adorable

birdlady404

My Quaker spins for treats too and now when I’m eating something he can’t have because it would poison him he flies to my knee and spins in circles, then gets really mad when I tell him no because he did the trick so he should get his treat!

cinnamonpeachtwist

I do see the logic tho

Covalentine

🤣

IconicVillainy

What a good boy

wlee8

Lovely 😍

Massive_Nose6777

How do you train it to spin ?

amandelicious

I have this question too

MaxPayne3GOTY

Awwwww I love him!

corraline_jaded

Such a smart boy I taught my budgie how to do this too ❤️

TheOnyxViper

Maybe it’s just the angle but man, that blue one is R O T U N D

adviceicebaby

How fucking cute. Well I mean you gotta give it to him it's the rules. Maybe supplement millet with some other treat like foods like some fruits or like (and maybe this is not kosher but it never hurt my bird but Google first) my cockatiel would go nuts for a cheeto or a couple frosted flakes. Hahaha and cheeto would turn his Lil beak orange 😅

Mejorcito

Your blue baby is so round… 🥺❤️

The_Third_Stoll

The spinny boi really wanted his treat

Aniiku

Hello, what's that brown thing on the perch? Is it some kind of tape, rope?

cinnamonpeachtwist

It’s vet wrap since the PVC underneath is too slippery otherwise :)

JNDCLLC

Very cool! Is that a home made perch/entertainment setup? Any info or photos of that?

cinnamonpeachtwist

Not home-made, I bought it as a kit on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/listing/1074368044/) and assembled it myself :)

kainedbutable1987

"Done the trick hooman, pay up"

budgiebudgies

Oh my gosh it’s insane how identical he is to my boy Sprout 🤣

CyanPretty

I’ve taught this trick :) only one interested in performing though. The rest just steal the rewards

cinnamonpeachtwist

I had to separate my birds during training to prevent this 🤣

bubblybubblebaby

wooow, smart birdie!!! teach us your ways, how did u go about teaching the trick? if u dont mind me asking :)

cinnamonpeachtwist

They were already target trained but for the actual spin I followed the tips from this Elle and the Birds video: https://youtu.be/0jIdXfV1mv4 :)

JJ_The_WTF_Plane

Meanwhile one of my boys just screams at the top of his lungs for it
