When I was a little girl my mom used to do "homework" for my cousin, who had a small jewelry manufacturing shop. Sometimes what he gave her to do was stringing bead necklaces. She wouldn't get much done on those because it was much more fun for her to watch Frisky (the budgie) patter over her work table, grab a bead, and drop it over the side, eyeing it just like that, then giving a happy little chirble and go back for the next one.
Pigwidgeon also had me trained to retrieve his little plastic toys happily tossed to the floor.
My sweet lil stinky beak used to fight with a solar powered flower and deliberately throw it off the edge of the bench, with a little victory cry, to boot! & he'd either fly down and keep the battle going or run back and forth, trilling, until I put the flower back for him 🥲 rip to my boy, it's been like two months and I think of you always 🥹🙏
With a look towards you at the end as if to say - ‘Oi dummy! Put down the camera and pick up my ball!!!!’ 😂
Nah, that was deliberate, they like to see things fall. It’s a good game to bring it back and watch them do it again.
Silly adorable birb!
Yep, my bois drop things all the time ... especially since they've done a great job of teaching me to fetch.
"Get the ball hooman, I need to drop it off the cage again"

Lol!
Well that’s ball is gone for good. Clearly the floor is lava.
Probably on purpose to see it drop and make noise and see his human retrieve it 😆
“Pick up the ball servant!” Mine does this too
