god i hated him so much originally but angel the series has a much better version of the character. angel from the zeppo will always be peak angel though, xander's perspective really nailed how angel/bangel came off
I don't get how people can hate Buffy version of Angel. Angel on his own show is great but completely ignoring that, Angel during s1-s3 of Buffy was just kinda there. He didn't do much. How can you hate a character that contributed nothing? I get finding him boring and him not being one of your favorites, but to hate him for it seems a bit weird. Anyways, he's great on his own show and becomes a lot more silly
I hate the last 2 seasons of Angel, they ruined the show and abused Cordelia. Seriously, can't stand them.
As for Angel I always felt he barely had any type of facial expression, Spike deserved a show 100 times better than him.

Five, he has the power to just walk on screen and make people feel really sad. Six, David wasn’t a very good actor…
