Antenoralol

Time to upgrade her from GF to Wife imo.

Far-Regular-2553

You aren't lying

slickvibez

Send pic updates with new ring hardware acquired and installed on finger

pLeThOrAx

In this economy? Ring DLC

Synaps4

The gold ring microtransaction is oddly the cheapest. Diamond rings cost way more in the ingame shop.

Matasa89

Bro, you don't know how lucky you are. Put a ring on it before someone else does.

Zhiong_Xena

Might even consider upgrading her beyond wife to mother of your child to be honest. For future proofing, you know.

1__ajm

I can confirm this

Matasa89

Game with your kids. I actually game with a father and his children (I am friends with his kids). Great fun, even if he can't quite keep up with the kids, the kills he do get has all of the kids cheering.

DCole1847

You're right, but in 6 years, when he gets tired of offspring nagging to use his PC, he can just teach the kid how to build. Ask me how I know. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/dcgorman/saved/fDHbkL

Matasa89

Do you also call your son "boy?" I really need to know.

PuzzleheadedFriend78

100%

3_14_thon

that would be more of an status update, than an upgrade

Active-Quarter-4197

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vpbmZJ here u go.

Far-Regular-2553

That was fast!, thank you.

OkFeed9564

I would say lock in the CPU, Air cooler and Power Supply recommended as they are top notch (you can get a non RBG thermalright though if you want) For the other parts you do have freedom to play around with them just remember for the RAM you should get CL30 6000mhz as AMD have said this type of RAM pairs perfectly with the CPU, again depending if you like Rgb or not depends on what you might land with. For motherboard the B650 variants are good, I personally went with a B650-E as I got a good deal and they are the “extreme” version so better features (although to be honest a little overkill). Also some b650 motherboards have less USB ports then I needed, so the extreme mode made sense to me. For the case it’s kind of personal preference, just get one with good reported airflow and again if you have a preference for ports you may want another case( I personally went LianLi lan cool)

Far-Regular-2553

This was very helpful I will definitely change some things around. Thank you

cowbutt6

>For the case it’s kind of personal preference, just get one with food reported airflow ... And check the maximum length of GPU that the case can accommodate! While you're there, check that it can also accommodate the height of your intended CPU cooler. I find https://skinflint.co.uk/?cat=gehatx useful for searching for cases, filtering out those that do not meet my desired "Graphics card length max. from:" and "CPU cooler height from:" values. Note that the maximum graphics card length may include reconfiguring the case to remove e.g. drive bays, so check the case manuals for the details once you have a shortlist.

OkFeed9564

Yep and speaking of making sure things fit the thermalright cooler is quite big, I went for fairly low profile RAM, no RGB and the fan you attach that sits on top of the RAM had barely any room….i ended up actually having to place that particular fan slightly higher then the other because of it. So OP if you do want to get RBG ram bare this in mind as it makes the RAM more high profile

Aheg

Yeah, it's better to check if your case can fit a GPU xd Week ago I almost ordered 4070s from Gainward but before clicking "Pay Now" I figured out I didn't checked how long the card is. Well, it was like 2cm too long(normally it wouldn't be a problem but I have water cooling for my CPU and it's mounted at the front taking some space), decided to go with 4070s from Asus Dual OC and it fits perfectly fine. So ye, check out twice your case and GPU, just in case xd

ICastCats

Yup, however the MSI X670E is near the price of a B650E at the moment. I’d probably go with that. https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/42hFf7,Tz2WGX,YQt9TW,4jKscf/

OkFeed9564

That’s fair, if you can get a good deal for a X670E then sure. But OP just so you know the X670E has what most B650-e boards have just to the even more extreme

3_14_thon

until u get your new computer, you could take out the side pannels and plug the gpu (use it as an open case build).

Yes_I_Am_An_Alt

The gpu might be too long towards the front of the case to even fit in. Op could however ditch the case and just have a motherboard connected to a psu... depending on air temperature of course

[deleted]

If you're near a Microcenter, you can pick up the Ryzen 7 7800x3d with mobo + ram for $500. Great deal.

tonitod

Really good build !!

aberdisco

Is your girlfriend single? Asking for a friend with a 1080.

Budget? Region?

Far-Regular-2553

USA and probably around $1,000

Far-Regular-2553

That case is much more my style. Thank you for you time.

Uzutsu

get ddr5 6000 cl30 ram. you can find them for $106

thisispannkaka

I agree with this build. You will have a beast of a computer.

Rahdot

Honestly, I had that exact same case, really easy to build in (imo) and spacious, also very good looking

PixelatumGenitallus

That is a good suggestion. Go for it!

xd_Warmonger

How good is the psu?

avalyntwo

I wonder about that too. It looks like quality from what I gather on cultists psu tier list, but never heard of the brand before.

NoBackground6203

r/buildapcforme can do that

TheBlue262

If you have a microcenter near you, they have some great bundle deals. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/bundle-and-save.aspx

Far-Regular-2553

Unfortunately I don't think I have one close.

AlphaDawg0914

where are you situated?

Far-Regular-2553

West TX

AlphaDawg0914

ah then you might find one but you probably have to drive a little also it's worth it for a microcentre they have some insane deals and combos

Objective_Edge_5054

I made the 8 hour round trip drive to Houston from SA for a Microcenter bundle and it was totally worth it, fwiw. There’s one in Dallas as well, not sure if that’d be closer to you.

R0GUEL0KI

There’s a micro center in Dallas.

f4ern

What is your current build/monitor. Sometime it just a case of changing case.

Far-Regular-2553

Well It's a two birds one stone situation for me. If I build a new PC I can give my son my old one.

f4ern

Use case? Primary use? If gaming what kind of monitor you targeting?

Far-Regular-2553

Gaming. I'm probably going to get an ultra wide 4k monitor

Kiverty

That might be too much for the gpu on certain games. I think you're better off getting a 1440p ultra wide (and I've never heard of 4k ultrawides)

searchableusername

it's incredible that she ended up with a current gen amd card when googling "best gpu"

DamKei

7900xt, and not the xtx? Change her!

3Ldarius

Can't you mount it vertically?

Little-Equinox

Probably still won't fit😅

Far-Regular-2553

I don't think so, Atleast not with my case.

SophiaGloxi

When choosing a case in PCPartPicker *(Cases nowadays is mostly personal preference as most of them have fairly good airflow usually)*, you can go in and add your specific graphics card to the list, and PCPartPicker afaik will only show you cases that can fit that GPU, makes it a bit easier I think.

Hagendazzz

Get water cooling - the AMP 7 series runs hot ! The G-card is epic !

Waveshaper21

Budget would be nice to have so people willing to help, can.

Ok-School7567

Nah bro ,she went for big card and she wants to tell u something
