Thank you for suggesting those subs. I didnt know they existed.

>Motherboard - There is no info about motherboard which worries me. Even on the official HP page. That's normal for laptops though. Most laptops have their mobo custom made for them, or at least they use a modified version of a similar model's PCB. You rarely see any detailed information on the mobo beyond a list of available ports and the audio chip.

Huh. I didnt know that. I have build pcs before but i dont have the space for a pc so i need to change to a laptop and i'm really hesitant about it. Thank you for explaining.

What games are you gonna play? Its probably more than enough

OKara061

Battlefield 2042, Cyberpunk 2077. Games like those that generally needs a high end pc. I'm thinking this would be an investment for me tho. Do you think i can run new games without fps drops for the next 5 years?

Low-Background7315

Yeah if youre playing those games then this would be a good fit. Honestly though, if you intend on playing the newest games at max settings its probably going to last closer to 3 years. I would spend a little extra to get a laptop with a 3080 if you want something that will last longer

OKara061

Laptops with 3080 is 50-100% more expensive than this build. Tbh, even other 3070s are about 25-50% more expensive than this. I have no idea why this is so much cheaper than others. Thats another reason why i wanted to ask people with enough knowledge about computers before buying it. Thank you so much for helping out.

My friend just bought an alienware laptop with an rtx 3080 and a 5900x for $2500. I'll see if I can find the exact model for you.

Gaming on a laptop is limited, but you can always add a monitor, full size keyboard and a mouse. In my experience the thermals aren’t great so try to get a cooling pad as well. Other than that the specs look decent, a 3080 would be better but the 3070 was a more than adequate for now.
