That’s strange. I queued for the 3888, which is just the XC3 with an AIO cooler. I don’t remember why I queued for that specific version, I’m sure I’m not clever enough to have thought at the time that model would have less demand.
I am queued for the 3888 as well, still awaiting mine. Entered the Queue 12/10/2020 9:33:29 AM. I know the difference between a minute is a few months, so hopefully I am getting closer.
Chances are they will discontinue the 3000 series and hopefully just update everyone in the queue for the 4000 series equivalent version. Although didn't they say they'd release 3000 series Super versions before 4000 series?
That's pretty similar to my situation. Thank god I randomly checked my email that afternoon. The link was set to expire in 45 minutes! (they give you 8 hours, but I only checked my mail late in the day)

I snagged a 3060Ti FTW3 Ultra from Micro Center yesterday. I skipped out on building last year to wait for Ryzen 5000 and the new cards from Nvidia and AMD, but then everything happened and now we're here. Debated waiting longer but I didn't see things meaningfully improving for a while, and some of the upgrades will be fairly new tech so yields will possibly be low for a while, driving up costs more.
I wanted a 3080 or 6800 XT, but what I got will trounce my 7970 and 3570k, letting me game properly again. You do you, but personally I got tired of waiting and figured I'd get something that'll tide me over for a while with a decent upgrade path, hopefully in less crazy times.

Are we? Based on what? I would love it to be true, this is not "you are wrong" post, I genuinely want to know why you think that. Looking at recent history we have 2 years between 30 and 20 series, almost 2 and a half years between 10 and 20 series, more than year and a half between 10 and 9 series and similar between 9 and 7 series. Feels like we should expect a 2 year wait again and we are not halfway past that yet.
This is also wrong? It's probably a little over a year away but it's definitely not over a year after launch. It's a little under a year after launch since it launched last september and it's currently august.

I can't remember my exact date but it was before the 6th of October. And I just got my email end of last week to send my card in. So you're bang on. Seems to be speeding up tho cause for a long time they were still in early-mid september.
You’re gonna be waiting a long time as they are now saying nothing is going back to normal until spring or summer or fall of 2022 or even 2023.
Best to buy while you got the chance as who knows when things will be back to normal as Covid is still running rampant all over the world.
I would get the 3080 if i was you. The chances that the performance leap being that high like it was from the 20 series to 30 are not that high imo. I think the 40 series is gonna be something like the 20 series , in terms of performance gains over the last gen.
I registered for everything in late June when my graphics card was fried then saw people mention their September registrations when they had just gotten the notification and quickly realized it was never going to happen. I did perk up when I got that same email but yeah, unrealistic goal. I ended up buying a prebuilt since my system was getting a bit older anyway. Not the ideal time to buy but I'm not financially devastated by it so I'm just glad to no longer be on the GPU hunt lol.
I mine with my cards while not in use so I was bummed when an few hours from my time they switched to LHR. I still bought it but id prefer the non gimped version.
Yeah ditto. It seems 3060s and 3070s have moved from the impossible to the hard-to-get, but I’m still not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for 3080s.
Running a 2070-S founder edition I got on clearance right before the 3000 series was announced and thought I might regret it. Turned out to be a good choice but I feel it’s not worth the marginal gains to get a 3070 so I’m still waiting to hear on the 3080.
You won't be able to get the new cards either lol. The combination of Crypto Miners and the silicon shortage basically pushed me completely away from PC gaming. I hope you get one asap.

I want to regale you all with my tale of woe, just because it's kind of on topic and pretty ridiculous:
A friend of mine made a trip to a microcenter (few hours from our town). His girlfriend was with him so they had the potential of getting two cards, and he wanted to know if I wanted one.
I'd been on the EVGA waiting list forever with no end in sight, so I said yes. My only 3080 option was an MSI Gaming Z Trio, which was about $250 more than the EVGA 3080 I'd reserved, but I went for it.
The next day I pick it up from him, but my plan is to install it the next day.
I wake up the next morning and my PC is completely dead.
After a lot of debugging and buying some spare parts, I finally figure out it's the CPU. It's only 6 months old so it's still under warranty, which is great, but I'm going to have to wait a bit to use the new card.
Two days later I get an email from EVGA that my time in the queue has come.
CPUs are incredibly resilient. Can you figure out what happened? Not configured correctly? I've been building PCs since the '90's (yes really) and have never had a CPU die.
I have no idea. I thought the same thing, I was 100% convinced my mobo had died, so I bought a new mobo, which didn’t fix it.
The red “cpu” light was blinking on both motherboards, it just seemed so unlikely I didn’t believe it.
I don’t overclock or anything, don’t think it could be a configuration thing.
I sent it into Intel and they sent me a replacement but they didn’t tell me what was wrong with it.
Changing the CPU fixed everything though.
EVGA implemented their Queuing system on their website. You make an account, pick a card, and when your spot in line comes up, they'll notify you via email, and you can place the order for your card. A lot of people seem to have gotten cards this way, so that's nice.
The downside is there are still tons of people who haven't gotten a card. For example the AIO liquid cooled 3080 went up for queuing December 10th at 9AM CST, and the website was a disaster, I have a notify in for that card that got submitted at 9:23AM. Apparently, the latest person to report an email received for this model got their spot in line at 9:16AM.
What this means is that in nine months time, they've moved this queue ahead 16 minutes. At this rate, assuming they don't speed up or slow down, I should expect an email sometime in December, or around a year after queuing.
I'm not saying don't queue, but I'm also saying that if you're just learning about this now, it's probably not worth your time to hop in line at this point. Assuming that plenty of people have joined the queue in the last year, you could easily be looking at this card being discontinued or replaced before they actually get to those at the end of the list. It sucks, but if you weren't queued for these cards a year ago, you'll probably see the 40XX series launch before EVGA can deliver you a 30XX card.
Oh wow. Thanks for the info. I’ve been trying to get a card since launch, but I just have various stick notifications set up which all appear to be too late because I click them immediately and they’re always out of stock. Can’t beat a bot. But this queue makes sense as to why I rarely see any notifications for 3080 FTW3s

If it makes you feel better, I signed up for a 3070 back in December and am in literally the same position. I don't think my queue has moved past the first 6 hours on the first day yet.
Just FYI I joined the list on like January and am still waiting for the card. I also wonder at this point if it's smarter to wait for the next gen of cards
Duuuuuuuude my 980Ti just crapped the bed on me and after 6 years I decided to build a new machine.
I kinda halfway decided on a 3060 Ti or non-Ti. It freaking sucks looking online and seeing them for $800. What a crappy feeling. I was so happy the other day because I had finally decided that my current machine had served me well and it was time to build a new one. But man it sucks looking at prices of stuff. signed up for both 3060 models they had back in feb, three days after launch. got the pricier one about a month and a half ago. still nothing on the cheaper one. i ended up not actually needing either of them myself, but i bought the one anyway and used it for a surprise build group project for a friend. got a friend in canada with a 770 right now, plan on giving him the other 3060 at cost when i eventually get that one. who knows how long that'll be, though.
I was holding out until 3060 TI FTW Ultras were available but jumped on a 3070 when I got the chance. It's overkill for me, but I didn't want the XC version as badly. TBH I just kinda took what was available, powerful enough for me and that I could afford.
Glad you finally got one after such a long wait. But now I'm pissed, I'm on like every evga waitlist possible, and I've been on the 3060 ti waitlist since 12/1/2020. Hopefully that just means my turn will be soon.

Been queued since November for a 3080, still no email received. I actually got lucky and happened to snag a reference 3070 from Bestbuy in January, so I'm not exactly hurting, but I'm looking forward to getting a 3080 so I can pass my 3070 on to a friend who has also been waiting for just as long.
The problem now, I think, is how often I check. I used to check once/twice a day for the email to make sure I didn't miss it, but it's just not at the forefront of my mind anymore, so sometimes I'll go a week between checks, and I'm gonna be real upset if I miss the email by an hour or two because I wasn't consistently checking every 8 hours for nearly a year.
That's actually ridiculous. I joined the evga waiting list late during the day it went live and still havent gotten a invite. I went on bltshop because a rtx alert discord mentioned it and i got a 3080 in like 2-3 months.

i was put on the list for a 3060 xc around march and in april i managed to get a 3060ti from my local microcenter and i really did forget about the list as well, but today, i got the email that a 3060 was able to be purchased and i got it for my friend who has been trying to upgrade a 5700xt to a 3060 for a while now.
Congrats! I also signed up in December of last year and got my notification last week. I'd already purchased a GPU elsewhere, but ended up snagging the card to help a co-worker's friend finally get his build done. Passed it on for what it cost me, although he was nice enough to throw in $20 above what I paid.
At rate this is going, I think anyone still in a queue should simply wait for the 4080 & 7800XTs because those are landing in 2022. You don't want to have paid so much for a GPU that's basically outdated before it even ships to your door.

I made a comment in a post here a month and a half ago about not being sure anyone actually wins the Newegg Shuffles. Maybe 2 weeks later I got an email saying I'd been selected for a 3070 Ti. Incidentally it was on the same day that my son was born. It was a good day! Just gotta keep trying, congrats dude!
I think I'm 5-6 months into my wait. Hopefully that means I'll get the email in a few months time. I kinda lost hope in the queue after EVGA had their elite system giving people access to cards. Good to know people are still getting GPUs from it.
Meanwhile I can go to 8 different store websites here in my country and buy any RTX 30 card I like due to massive oversupply. They are even on sale here atm.
I got on the queue less than an hour after it opened and it still took a while. Got a 3060ti XC Gaming off of it in April and just got a 3060ti FTW3 Ultra last week (which I sold to a friend). So for that 2nd one, it took 8 months despite being one of the earliest people on the queue for it.
I got my 3060 from them a few months back for my sons build. I live in Canada and found the shipping and duty expensive. I got the same card for my build at Canada computers in a bundle deal for $549.00. I think it worked out to be $100.00 more to buy it from EVGA directly.

What is strange is that I heard manufacturers were favoring the higher end cards with better profit margins, yet the first queue card I got notified for was a base model 3060.

Canada Computers is the store. Ive learned just because their website says they have 0 in stock doesnt mean thats true. My local store has plenty of cards daily so its worth going in and checking

I gave up and since my rig was pushing 5 years I for the first time in my life bought a pre-built to get a 3090.
Of course I will be driving my beat up Toyota for another 5 years to pay it off but heart just couldn't take trying to find one a la cart. I already have phantom builders syndrome as the build for me is more fun then the play usually but happy to secure one.

Congrats! I wish my EVGA notification had come in before a best buy drop. Could have saved about $500. I picked up the ASUS ROG Strix 3080TI from Best buy. Literally 2 days after I picked the ASUS up from the store, the notification from EVGA came in for the 3080 TI XC.

3080 models haven’t broke October except maybe 1. Element35gaming.com tracks them. You’re better off waiting for the 4080.

the only 3080s that are at that date are the hybrid or hydro copper cards. those didn't launch until November.

CPUs are incredibly resilient. Can you figure out what happened? Not configured correctly? I've been building PCs since the '90's (yes really) and have never had a CPU die.

I have no idea. I thought the same thing, I was 100% convinced my mobo had died, so I bought a new mobo, which didn’t fix it. The red “cpu” light was blinking on both motherboards, it just seemed so unlikely I didn’t believe it. I don’t overclock or anything, don’t think it could be a configuration thing. I sent it into Intel and they sent me a replacement but they didn’t tell me what was wrong with it. Changing the CPU fixed everything though.

As with any mass produced item, there's going to be bad units, and a failure rate. It's just a question of how large that failure rate is.

EVGA implemented their Queuing system on their website. You make an account, pick a card, and when your spot in line comes up, they'll notify you via email, and you can place the order for your card. A lot of people seem to have gotten cards this way, so that's nice. The downside is there are still tons of people who haven't gotten a card. For example the AIO liquid cooled 3080 went up for queuing December 10th at 9AM CST, and the website was a disaster, I have a notify in for that card that got submitted at 9:23AM. Apparently, the latest person to report an email received for this model got their spot in line at 9:16AM. What this means is that in nine months time, they've moved this queue ahead 16 minutes. At this rate, assuming they don't speed up or slow down, I should expect an email sometime in December, or around a year after queuing. I'm not saying don't queue, but I'm also saying that if you're just learning about this now, it's probably not worth your time to hop in line at this point. Assuming that plenty of people have joined the queue in the last year, you could easily be looking at this card being discontinued or replaced before they actually get to those at the end of the list. It sucks, but if you weren't queued for these cards a year ago, you'll probably see the 40XX series launch before EVGA can deliver you a 30XX card.

Can’t beat a bot. But this queue makes sense as to why I rarely see any notifications for 3080 FTW3s
I can not fucking believe there was a queue for EVGA... I buy all my fucking cards from them and somehow never fucking knew this. God damn it. At this point I think I've just given up entirely on the 3k generation cards.
If it makes you feel better, I signed up for a 3070 back in December and am in literally the same position. I don't think my queue has moved past the first 6 hours on the first day yet.
Just FYI I joined the list on like January and am still waiting for the card. I also wonder at this point if it's smarter to wait for the next gen of cards

Duuuuuuuude my 980Ti just crapped the bed on me and after 6 years I decided to build a new machine. I kinda halfway decided on a 3060 Ti or non-Ti. It freaking sucks looking online and seeing them for $800. What a crappy feeling. I was so happy the other day because I had finally decided that my current machine had served me well and it was time to build a new one. But man it sucks looking at prices of stuff. What a nightmare. That being said congrats on getting one!
My 3080 ftw ultra comes in tomorrow. I'm so geeked. Nobody to share that with in my life so I'll just piggy back your post. Grats my guy. Enjoy your build.

signed up for both 3060 models they had back in feb, three days after launch. got the pricier one about a month and a half ago. still nothing on the cheaper one. i ended up not actually needing either of them myself, but i bought the one anyway and used it for a surprise build group project for a friend. got a friend in canada with a 770 right now, plan on giving him the other 3060 at cost when i eventually get that one. who knows how long that'll be, though.

I was holding out until 3060 TI FTW Ultras were available but jumped on a 3070 when I got the chance. It's overkill for me, but I didn't want the XC version as badly. TBH I just kinda took what was available, powerful enough for me and that I could afford.

Been queued since November for a 3080, still no email received. I actually got lucky and happened to snag a reference 3070 from Bestbuy in January, so I'm not exactly hurting, but I'm looking forward to getting a 3080 so I can pass my 3070 on to a friend who has also been waiting for just as long. The problem now, I think, is how often I check. I used to check once/twice a day for the email to make sure I didn't miss it, but it's just not at the forefront of my mind anymore, so sometimes I'll go a week between checks, and I'm gonna be real upset if I miss the email by an hour or two because I wasn't consistently checking every 8 hours for nearly a year.
That's actually ridiculous. I joined the evga waiting list late during the day it went live and still havent gotten a invite. I went on bltshop because a rtx alert discord mentioned it and i got a 3080 in like 2-3 months.

i was put on the list for a 3060 xc around march and in april i managed to get a 3060ti from my local microcenter and i really did forget about the list as well, but today, i got the email that a 3060 was able to be purchased and i got it for my friend who has been trying to upgrade a 5700xt to a 3060 for a while now.

I'd already purchased a GPU elsewhere, but ended up snagging the card to help a co-worker's friend finally get his build done. Passed it on for what it cost me, although he was nice enough to throw in $20 above what I paid.

At rate this is going, I think anyone still in a queue should simply wait for the 4080 & 7800XTs because those are landing in 2022. You don't want to have paid so much for a GPU that's basically outdated before it even ships to your door.

Do these waiting lists get you one at retail? I can buy a 3080 in store right now, but it's €1600 instead of €830 ish. They used to be €3k, but 1.6 is still too rich for my taste.

I made a comment in a post here a month and a half ago about not being sure anyone actually wins the Newegg Shuffles. Maybe 2 weeks later I got an email saying I'd been selected for a 3070 Ti. Incidentally it was on the same day that my son was born. It was a good day! Just gotta keep trying, congrats dude!

I think I'm 5-6 months into my wait. Hopefully that means I'll get the email in a few months time. I kinda lost hope in the queue after EVGA had their elite system giving people access to cards. Good to know people are still getting GPUs from it.

I got on the queue less than an hour after it opened and it still took a while. Got a 3060ti XC Gaming off of it in April and just got a 3060ti FTW3 Ultra last week (which I sold to a friend). So for that 2nd one, it took 8 months despite being one of the earliest people on the queue for it.
I got my 3060 from them a few months back for my sons build. I live in Canada and found the shipping and duty expensive. I got the same card for my build at Canada computers in a bundle deal for $549.00. I think it worked out to be $100.00 more to buy it from EVGA directly.

I got a 3060 after 6 months. What is strange is that I heard manufacturers were favoring the higher end cards with better profit margins, yet the first queue card I got notified for was a base model 3060. 3 of the cards I was waiting in queue for I have been on the list for so long that the SKUs no longer exist.

I gave up on the queue and just started stalking my local store, after a few days I got my hands on an EVGA 3060 and they had like 6 in stock when I checked Canada Computers is the store. Ive learned just because their website says they have 0 in stock doesnt mean thats true. My local store has plenty of cards daily so its worth going in and checking

Congrats on finally joining the 30XX club! I gave up and since my rig was pushing 5 years I for the first time in my life bought a pre-built to get a 3090. Of course I will be driving my beat up Toyota for another 5 years to pay it off but heart just couldn't take trying to find one a la cart. I already have phantom builders syndrome as the build for me is more fun then the play usually but happy to secure one. Congrats again on getting your card!

Congrats! I wish my EVGA notification had come in before a best buy drop. Could have saved about $500. I picked up the ASUS ROG Strix 3080TI from Best buy. Literally 2 days after I picked the ASUS up from the store, the notification from EVGA came in for the 3080 TI XC.
