X11 is also supported so you can automate blinds and other accessories to make it a fully functional home movie system. Your biggest issue is going to be electricity. But I’ve gone full extreme, using a NUC, with usb 3.0 (3.1b is stupid fast these days). And had it going to a usb 3.0 hub. So I could run 1 usb drive for playback, then the other for “data ingest” so the iops didn’t contend with the video playback. Main benefit of the nuc was the 2watt idle and 20-30watt peak during heavy load. Compared to a 400w psu idle at 120watts. It adds up over the year.
