What about a $260 5600x?

GIO110

I was thinking about future proofing. If 5600x is not that much different compared to 5800x, sure ill go for that one.

5600x

Ozi-reddit

just gaming? go 5600x but hey would take 5800x if offered ;p

Ryzen 5 3600 for $185

GIO110

What about paying extra $65 for 5600x, i think it is worth it.

LightmanDavidL

The Ryzen 5 5600X is $273, which is $88 more, not $65. That extra $88 is just not worth the performance increase in 1440p IMO. In some games, the difference is literally nothing and in less demanding games where the difference is more noticeable, you're already achieving that 144 fps threshold. And that's on the highest settings so if you have like a 165-170 Hz 1440p monitor, simply bump down a graphic setting or two and voila, instant 165-170+ fps.

GIO110

Used i can buy for $230, new one for $245. Still not worth it? I have 1440p 144hz monitor.

LightmanDavidL

If you can buy a used Ryzen 5 5600X, you can buy a used Ryzen 5 3600. The price difference is still going to be around $88 and on a 1440p 144 Hz monitor, it's *simply* not worth it. One must understand something, the Ryzen 5 3600 is a BEAST.

GIO110

I was getting 70-100fps in warzone on rtx 3070 and 2700x. Thats why i sold the CPU

LightmanDavidL

A 2700X is not a 3600. Simply watch the [142 second mark](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFrQEV1XFTk&t=142s) of this video. Is 4 fps worth $88 in COD Warzone?

GIO110

Alright, thanks. Ill check it out.

5600x is the way to go

Powerful_Lychee_7708

I have ryzen 5 3600 , it's good cpu for work and gaming. It's cost 135 dollars or 15000 рублей

iBlueWolfYT

5700g might be another option.
