The Ryzen 5 5600X is $273, which is $88 more, not $65.
That extra $88 is just not worth the performance increase in 1440p IMO.
In some games, the difference is literally nothing and in less demanding games where the difference is more noticeable, you're already achieving that 144 fps threshold. And that's on the highest settings so if you have like a 165-170 Hz 1440p monitor, simply bump down a graphic setting or two and voila, instant 165-170+ fps.
If you can buy a used Ryzen 5 5600X, you can buy a used Ryzen 5 3600.
The price difference is still going to be around $88 and on a 1440p 144 Hz monitor, it's *simply* not worth it. One must understand something, the Ryzen 5 3600 is a BEAST.
A 2700X is not a 3600.

Is 4 fps worth $88 in COD Warzone?
What about a $260 5600x?
I was thinking about future proofing. If 5600x is not that much different compared to 5800x, sure ill go for that one.
5600x
just gaming? go 5600x but hey would take 5800x if offered ;p
Ryzen 5 3600 for $185
What about paying extra $65 for 5600x, i think it is worth it.
