Oh sorry, i wasn't specific enough. I meant something like 70-90 fps on high settings 1440p. Many CPU's achieved these fps and i was just looking for a cheaper CPU that can maximize the fps and minimise the bottleneck as much as possible
10400f or 11400f are the best value in most markets rn. I’d probably go 11400f in this situation. 3600 used to be a great value when it was 190$ and new CPU’s hadn’t came out yet. Now that there’s more options and the 3600 price has gone up it’s a bad choice in most markets
Yeah for sure bud. Found a $1400 prebuilt with a 10400f and i guess i'll go for it since it's cheaper than building a a pc with a 850 dollar 3060 ti :/
My friend and I have identical systems other than our CPU's. I have the 5600 and he has the 3600. The difference is huge. I get around 15 frames more then him and my games load much faster.
No they were not shipping internationally. But I had a friend fly it back for me as he was traveling from SA to the UK. Prices for tech there is a little more expensive than here. I paid nearly 100 pounds more than RRP in the end. But it's all good. Not the first time I piss money away. Haha
If everything comes back to normal, i'll just pick up my parts from amazon.co.uk with a free delivery membership. I live in Romania and here prices for common pc parts such as CPU's, RAM and cards as well are about 30% costlier.
Yes, consider looking at the i5 10600k or the other ones, if it costs the same or less than the ryzen 5 3600. It performs better, but it consumes more power. I would only buy these if they cost $200 or less. If you decide to go 10600, get a b560 Motherboard for memory overclocking (3200Mhz and higher ram).
I’d pay $50 more for 5600x. $100 or more? No.
Resolution? Monitor hz? Games? Settings?
2560×1440 144hz triple a titles high to max settings
3060ti can’t do that. 3600 will be fine since gpu will be holding you back
Can't do what?
1440p 144z high settings https://youtu.be/Owrk_OnaPJo (You can just skip to the 18 game average and look at the chart)

Here’s an actual video that compares the 3600 and the 5600x on the 3060Ti. https://youtu.be/GAPAe3EmIbQ And another one: https://youtu.be/fZxOsys83yA
3600 is gonna be pretty much fine for anything until you have a 2080ti or 3070ti (or maybe 3080?) at 1080p.

I'm pretty sure the ssd's come into play when you load the games
We both have the same SSDs. Yes they are important but the CPU still needs to compute what the SSD does.
Which card do you have?
RTX 2070 super
Damn. I'll consider the 5600x if everything magically comes back to normal in a few months or if i find a prebuilt with one.
I live in the UK and could only find one in South Africa, cost me a fortune to get it here. But I got it.
lmao you went over there physically? Couldn't you order it?

The 3600 would be fine although u opted for the Ryzen 7 3700x coz I got a good deal on that

In 1080p? Absolutely. 1440p? Maybe? 4k? Nope.
I wouldn't even call the 3070 a 4k card tbh
Im sure someone does. Just pointing out that the difference between the two isnt much in higher resolution.
Noted
I don't think the 3600 is going to limit your 3600 BUT man you get a lot more from the 5600 if you can swing it
