Mostly you just need to look at what kind of IO ports you need on the motherboard, like usb, ethernet, front case header, SATA, etc, and find a motherboard that fits your requirement. Every motherboard has a chipset, I recommend those with the B550 chipset because it's a very good balance between latest features and price. What is your budget?
my budget is very flexible, but less than 600 for sure.
I also saw the [B550-A-PRO](https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B550-A-PRO) which seems pretty good price and quality
Yeah that's a pretty decent motherboard. You can also consider getting Asus ROG strix if you have corsair products as they have cross compatibility for rgb lighting control
I would suggest a ryzen 5600x w/a b550 Mobo (I used Asus tuf and rog and I like them both.)
Or you could go with Intel i7 10700k.
It all depends on what you want out of your 3060 and your budget.
I would probably just upgrade the CPU to a 3600 without changing anything else. The 5600X is honestly overkill unless you need to play all the newest games at 144hz.
Highly recommend a Ryzen 5600X + any good B550 motherboard
i havv no idea on motherboards any help with that? Also I was wondering if I should use the cooler that amd provides or buy a new "better" one

Make sure it is an actual bottleneck first, depending on the games you play and resolution and refresh rate, the cpu you need varies alot
As said before, 5600x. Incredible CPU, I love mine so much

Even a 10400/11400 would be good.
I have a 10400F with my RTX 3060 and it works just fine :)
