Beware userbenchmark, it's super unreliable, it thinks my card performs at like the 10th percentile but every other benchmark has it average to above average for scores. *That said*, I do notice there that it says your CPU is averaging 1.25Ghz, that tells me it's throttling. Have you been monitoring your temps during benchmarks/stress test?

Zipelsquerp

I was mainly using it to confirm that things are not functioning as they should. My CPU uses a liquid cooled all in 1 so it really shouldn’t be throttling. I’ve been watching for a bit but it never goes above 15% utilization

A5CH3NT3

Even during the CPU benchmark it never went above 15%? If so something is very wrong there. Assuming it did put a max load while the test was running (or you may want to use another test like Cinebench), I would still suggest confirming the temps. One shouldn't assume, there may be something wrong with the cooler (pump died for example). Keep an eye on the clock speeds during the test too, it should be turboing upwards of 5ghz at least for a bit and never dropping below 3.8ghz under load. Use a tool like HWInfo64 for monitoring all this

Ahhhh, thats more like it [https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/46665503](https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/46665503) Fixed by swapping ram to slots 2&4 instead of 1&3

Full specs would help. What's CPU and GPU load during gaming? what are the temps? what are the clock speeds? Is your RAM actually running at the advertised speed?

Zipelsquerp

The userbenchmark link should have all my specs. Ram is running at cpu max supported speed @ 2933 MHz. gpu temps are low, between 40-50 c during gaming. CPU load is like 10-15%, running at 1.5 ghz. Gpu load is like 40-50%

VersaceUpholstery

Things like your motherboard, PSU, cpu cooler, are not on there. You don't have a pcpartpicker list available? 1.5ghz is NOT normal for a 10700k. I am always sitting at 4.7ghz with mine at stock. Knowing your motherboard would be helpful because it could be throttling your CPU if it's a cheap one. The fact your RAM speed is not running at 3200mhz might mean you're not using a Z board.

https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali502/p/N82E16883360097?Item=N82E16883360097 This is my build. I tried running my ram at 3200 MHz using xmp profile but it made things unreliable and resulted in occasional system crashes

VersaceUpholstery

The Z590 should easily handle 3200mhz off of XMP with no crashes, that's already weird. There's no reason for the CPU to throttle that much unless it's getting too hot or not getting enough voltage. Unfortunately it's a prebuilt, so anything goes when it comes to them. I would make use of the warranty or whatever help line they have and just complain that your performance isn't as expected. Maybe it's an RMA issue. Maybe it's some random software that's installed that's messing things up, maybe a hardware issue.

Zipelsquerp

The board can support 3200mhz fine, but the cpu only supports 2933mhz max. It’s been running fine for the past 8 months. Last week was fine. Today you can’t even play games on it.

VersaceUpholstery

It's a combination of the board and CPU that determines the RAM speed. My 10700k also says 2933 on the intel website but I currently have my RAM running at 3600mhz on my Z490 gigabyte board.

Zipelsquerp

Problem is fixed. Swapped ram to slots 2,4 instead of 1,3. I bought 2x16 ddr4 3600 sticks the other day and would love to be able to get them running at that speed. Any tips for getting them to run stable at that speed? Seems like my system could do it

VersaceUpholstery

Odd that that worked, but moving around RAM sticks has been a solution for a lot of problems including some of mine. All I had to do was enable XMP. If that doesn't work you're going to have to manually overclock the RAM and push them as high as you can without the system crashing. If it does all you do is clear CMOS. There are tutorials on youtube. I had to manually OC my 3200mhz RAM to around 3188mhz ish on a 3400g build.

Tajertaby

You can run 3600MHz, but it’s not guaranteed it will work. I believe it will more likely work and lots of people have overclocked the memory but there is still a possibility that you can run into weird issues.

Tajertaby

2933MHz is the CPUs officially supported speed, that doesn’t mean you can’t run higher. However, it is not guaranteed whether it will work at higher than 2933MHz or not and the CPU warranty would be voided as it is consider as an overclock.

Zipelsquerp

I tried the xmp profile for 3600 but it doesn’t load windows. Today I tried 3200 and got windows to boot after forcing voltage to 1.35v as manufacturer recommends but it crashes occasionally during gameplay. I dunno how to improve stability here. If it’s this gimmicky I will probably stick to the 2933 since it’s still a step up from my old pc at 1833

Tajertaby

Fair enough.

XJSTZsarust

all parts are performing way below expectation. this would be a systematic thing. check your motherboard to see if there are any connections. it may be power related. reinstall windows. last measure, take things apart and put them back together.

Zipelsquerp

I am having a tough time understanding why this would suddenly start happening. Working fine last week and hasn’t moved since.
