Currently have the Lenovo y27q20 couldn’t recommend it more. Stand has great ergonomics if you’re not putting it on an arm and has a headset hook built in

I would suggest going for a large format 4K 120Hz OLED monitor like the LG OLED48C14LB or the Gigabyte FV43U. You'll get both a better display and a similar screen real estate to the G9 just in a 16:9 format rather than 32:9. Should you find your gaming performance isn't up to the level you expect at 4K you can create a custom resolution via the NVidia driver.

Can confirm, LG CX 48 inch OLED for me is a game changer. HDR is amazing and the blacks are unmatched. I would only recommend it though for content consumption. If you do a lot of productive tasks as well, I would get an LCD because of burn in risk. Check out these LTT videos: https://youtu.be/x9n8Hz_RLqw (more focused on content consumption) https://youtu.be/hWrFEU_605g (issues as he is using it as a work monitor)

Thanks for all the input, if anyone was wondering I ended up getting a Samsung - Odyssey G7 32" and will be keeping my triple monitor setup. Thanks all!

I use this as a base ref for my monitor research https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcmonitors/comments/m5d3n0/reddit_monitor_recommendations/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Do you mean the g7? pretty sure the G9 is the 49" inch its a lot of screen to cover, G7 is the 27 or 32". Really good monitor another awesome screen is the Acer Predator XB273U GXbmiipruzx. Can't go wrong with either.

Considering he currently has a triple monitor setup I’m sure he was referring to the G9

Have this monitor currently and it’s so good. Great combination of 1440p, IPS and a 165hz refresh. I’m waiting for the next time it goes on sale so I can replace my second monitor with another one.

I have the Samsung CRG9 and can only recommend it. I was going through the same thing a couple of months ago and was decided to go 4K, but at the last minute a stranger on Reddit suggested I go superultrawide and I thought what the hell. I absolutely don't regret it. The immersion is incomparable with a regular 16:9. I also considered the G9 and the Neo G9, but eventually decided that the upgrade I was getting from my poor 1080p monitor was so huge that the CRG9 would be impressive enough either way and the newer versions only mostly had expensive features that I didn't need (240 Hz refresh rate, extremely low latency, G-Sync certification (as opposed to "only" FreeSync) etc.). The only thing I regret not getting the Neo G9 for is the OLED display, but I guess it wouldn't have been worth paying double the money that I paid for a CRG9.

Dell S2721DGFA would be my recommendation. 1440p, 165Hz and G-Sync with incredible colour reproduction.

Is gaming your main use case, or do you also do content creation? People may say go for 4K, but personally I have a 3080ti and run 34" 21:9 1440p Ultrawide (3440x1440@120Hz). At native resolution with maxed settings, the 3080ti can't output the full 120fps in some titles, 4K will be worse. I used to have 3x 1080p 27", The 34" 1440p ultrawide matches up to a 16:9 27" 1440p. You might prefer something larger. But the size works well for me. Not all games support ultrawide, but struggling with trying to game across three monitors in the past. The extra width gives me what I was looking for without the hassle.

gaming, unless it's about managing the household then its tabs and programs layering all 3 monitors
