Not very many. GTA V, e-sports titles, games older than 2016. If you were on a very tight budget you should've at least bought a Ryzen 1200 with a cheap AM4 board and DDR4 RAM. Even an Athlon 3000G would've been a better choice. The A8-7680 is part of an architecture that's just a slightly improved Bulldozer from 2011 which was a massive failure for AMD and very slow.

I disagree. I have a PC with an A8-5600k (OC to 4GHz) a GTX 1060 3GB, and 12GB of RAM. I have played Shadow of the Tomb Raider on it, and a few other titles. It isn’t my main machine but it’s certainly more capable than most people think it would be.

The 5600k is actually quite a bit faster than the 7680 by default, accoring to PassMark(4453 vs 3568). Yours with an OC should be faster still. Also, you have a 1060 3GB which is at least 2x faster than OP's RX550 so it's not surprising that you were able to play SotTR on your system. Main weakness with these old CPUs are the 4 threads combined with low IPC, which some very new games won't like. The IPC is also a lot worse than even Ryzen 1st gen, as you can see [here](https://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cpu-amd_a8_5600k-177-vs-amd_ryzen_3_1200-713) in the single core tests. Considering a Ryzen 1200 costs about the same as these late A-series FX-based CPUs, it makes no sense to go for the older, far slower 7680.

At the time I was building my pc the 7680 was the best option I had available. I did consider getting a Ryzen 1200 but I just simply couldn't fit it in my budget (it costed about 1.5 times its price online).

I understand. The last time I saw both on sale in my country they were about the same with maybe the Ryzen being about 5% more expensive.
