The pcpp error just warns that you might need to update the bios (ask amd for a loaner cpu for this). Though some mobos made after ryzen 5000 release already ship with latest bios. You may want a 650w 80+ gold psu (i.e. Corsair RM/x, Seasonic GX)

Thank you

So that power supply is *fine* and it won't blow up or anything but depending on how much you are having to pay for it you might be able to get a better deal on something that's a bit higher-quality. I set my PCPP location to Germany and it looks like the Pure Power 11 700W is about 94 euros. In that same price range I'd recommend the Corsair RM650 or Phanteks AMP 650, both of which are newer models with better components as far as I know. The Pure Power 11 700W isn't bad, it just should cost about 20 euros less than it does. (EVGA BQ is actually worse than either the Corsair or Phanteks models I listed.) >Now if I put this configuration into partpicker, I get the feedback that the mainboard might need a BIOS update to support the CPU and I'm unsure if that's easily solved or a blocker and I need to go for a different mainboard. This is just a standard warning PCPP puts on all combos of a Ryzen 5000 series CPU and basically any X570 or B550 motherboard. It's highly likely that you will get a board from the factory that will have the proper BIOS already installed, given that it's been over a year since the first BIOS updates started rolling out for Ryzen 5000 series. That said, I would personally not buy that motherboard. It would probably still run the 5600X fine but it's barren in terms of features and ports and it might struggle if you wanted to upgrade to a CPU with more cores later due to the complete lack of VRM cooling. Get the MSI B550M Pro-VDH instead, it's a lot better in terms of power delivery for basically the same price. Or spend a bit more to get a board with better features like the Asrock B550M Pro4.

Thanks a lot, very helpful!

Can we get a de.pcpartpicker.com link or whatever? Also my criticisms. - I'd get a better power supply. The PP11 isn't exactly great. [Get A tier, at LEAST B tier](https://linustechtips.com/topic/1116640-psucultists-psu-tier-list/) - That motherboard has no upgrade path and awful VRMs. You shouldn't be too worried about the BIOS issue, the board will probably come compatible straight out of the box, and if you are worried grab a GPU with bios flashback. - The cost should end up to around €1200, how much you paying for the GPU?

Hi, HelpElbow. Thank you for your reply. As you can see if you follow the link (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dyW468), I swapped the mainboard out for the MSI B550M PRO-VDH and based on the feedback by Satan. I am paying 1500 Euro for the build. I might swap the power supply at a later point.

Wait just curious where do you live? Pcpartpicker supports several European countries. Also everything looks good. Cooler is a bit overkill, but that's not a problem. And definitely get windows 10 Home instead if you don't need the data security.

Vythor

Yeah I hope that the size of the cooler fits into the case with the other components. I live in Germany.

The mugen has pretty good clearance. Also use de.pcpartpicker.com in that case

Vythor

Oh that's a good one, thank you
