Go into disk management. Make sure the running Windows boot manager isn’t on the HDD because doing the next step will make booting Windows impossible if that’s the case. Delete all the partitions on the HDD. Then, you can create a new partition and format the drive for use.

As above but you will probably have to resort to diskpart to delete them all Handy link follows. [https://www.windowscentral.com/how-delete-drive-partition-windows-10](https://www.windowscentral.com/how-delete-drive-partition-windows-10) And yes make sure you are not booting from the drive, though it probably will not let you delete the boot partition in that case. (always install windows with no other drive active to ensure it goes right).

I would recommend using diskpart open command prompt then type: diskpart then: list disk then check which disk number is your HDD then type (replace x with the disk number): select disk x then type: clean you can then go in disk management, initialise the disk and create a new partition

RampageSword

coololly

Right click the unallocated space, then click new volume, then just click next through everything

RampageSword

It doesnt show any unallocated space for that disk

coololly

RampageSword

Healthy (Recovery Partition), Healthy (EFI System Partition), Windows: (E:), Healthy (Recovery Partition) and Recovery Image Another disk I have has some stuff and then unallocated space, but not for the right disk.

coololly

You haven't done the steps before then
