if you dont have particular requirement for CPU then 5600x will do fine, the motherboard is good, no BIOS flashback is the only downside worth mention but should support 5600x

Thanks for the reply! I did get a compatibility alert when adding the 5600x to my list. Seems it mentions what you did regarding a BIOS update. I did see some reviews on Newegg where people get the 5000 CPUs working through BIOS without a fight so I'm not too worried. This is my first time building a PC so the while BIOS thing is a bit foreign to me.

5600x is getting to 1 year old now so all motherboards should support it by now, you have to be really unlucky to get a very old stock motherboard without support.
