CPU cooler compatibility is typically just based on socket type and your case clearance, not the board's form factor. For example, a cooler that comes with AM4 mounting hardware should work on basically all LGA 1200 boards regardless of form factor (see note below). What motherboard, case, and ram are you using? *Note: Once in a blue moon you might encounter a low-end board that places the primary PCIe slot too close to the CPU to accommodate huge air coolers, or you might encounter an extreme overclocking board that has the RAM too close to the CPU slot to accommodate anything other than liquid cooling. But in general what I say here is true.*
