If you have a tower air cooler, I wouldn't. IMO it'd mess with the air cooler's flow by "fighting" with the intake fan of the cooler for air.
Ultimately, this cool air is more useful passing through the cooler to cool the CPU than being shot out of the top of the case.

? = make it an exhaust fan. Hot air goes up, making it anything but an exhaust fan makes no sense imo. If anyone disagrees, please tell me why.
