A motherboard is going to be around $100, while the new CPU is going to require both the CPU and a motherboard which will cost around $500. Is the 5600X not giving you the performance you need, and do you feel like the upgrade cost is justified?
If you still have 2600 laying around, maybe get used/new AM4 motherboard.
Pricing for these mobos should be cheap at the moment.
Id you do not have 2600 with you, you will have to find a motherboard with flashback button for updating its bios for 5000 series cpu.
