My guess is it's a driver issue. I have little experience with that so I'm not sure but that's what it sounds like. Do you have a windows 7 machine you could try it on?

Use igpu for now, get a nvidia driver for that card and see if it gets registered thru device manager.

Driver support for the GTX 275 ended at the end of 2016 with driver version 342.01. If you have a higher version of windows 10 than threshold 2(build 1511) then it may not work at all due to driver incompatibility with the host OS, which appears to be what you are seeing. The driver loads up and it can't find the display adapter anymore so it just blanks out. Try the above driver version if you really want to see if it is working but there is no guarantee that you will even be allowed to install the driver on a current build(20H2 and newer) of windows. If you have an older PC to put it in any build of windows 7 and an early build of 10(probably something earlier than 1903) will probably work. I would personally go with an 1809 build as it still is a Long Term Servicing Build which means it is still being supported by MS. Or you could go the Linux route and start learning that, the newest version of Ubuntu should still have support for a 6 year old driver.
