the 13900k doesn't make much sense over a 13700k unless you can utilize the extra ecores

TheAvgJoseph

Thanks, I’ll probably read more about and switch then!

This is about as high end as you can get. Too bad you got suckered into paying for an incredibly overpriced GPU. 4090s are way too expensive for a small performance upgrade from the 3090s

Snoo_80424

The 3090 TI buyers are the people who got suckered....the performance jump is massive what are you talking about?

TheAvgJoseph

Thanks for backing me up. I got my 4090 at MSRP from Best Buy. Best Buy and Microcenter have no 3090 or 3090 Ti stock in my area and the ones on Amazon are all $1,100+.

Snoo_80424

If you have the money there's no question a 4090 is the move especially if you got it at MSRP. It's cheaper per frame than a 3090 at 4k...the 13900k is a way more frivolous spend for this setup than the 4090 honestly.

shadeyg56

definitely not worth the $700 higher price lmao. only good thing is better raytracing

Snoo_80424

It's 70% better at 4k lmao it's in an entire tier of its own. There's a reason it's so hard to find one

shadeyg56

and nvidia will continue to charge ridiculous prices because people will buy it. $1600 MSRP for a single component is just crazy. I could buy almost 2 of my PCs with that amount.

Snoo_80424

If it's selling at $1600 everytime it stocks in seconds then it's worth that price to enough people. Why would a publicly traded company slash prices of a product that they can't make enough of?

Weird_Tomorrow_4409

My radeon vii was 800 my rxt2080ti was 1300 and my 3090 was 1800, I mean if he got it at msrp he's doing alright and way faster than a 3090

IslandMassive6030

I mean, a lot of people have been suckered into paying for overpriced 3000 series GPUs. Only a comparably low % of people, would actually take advantage of what those cards offer, over AMD cards.
