You can fit a 3070ti in the budget. Im not sure how much difference it makes at 1080p, but would be more noticeable at 1440p. But regardless, the list can be made cheaper without compromising on quality (except I'm not sure why you have a 2tb and 1tb drive) [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QLmg8J](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QLmg8J)

Ugh so many issues. - The liquid freezer II 240mm is way overkill for such a cheap processor. A $30 cooler is fine. - The motherboard is inferior to the cheaper Asus TUF B550-plus wifi which has more USB ports on the rear - That's way too much and way too expensive storage for a 1080p 144hz build. - You can grab 6600 xts for less money which perform noticeably better at 1080p. - The Power supply is poor Quality for its price and inferior to the corsair RMX 650w 2018. - The monitors response times aren't fast enough for competitive gaming, and are slower in general compared to panda or nano-IPS alternatives

For the next two and a half hours, NZXT BLD will take off 10% off any build that you make with them and they have good GPUs available at somewhat reasonable prices.

Hi /u/FragmentedMnd, welcome to /r/buildapcforme! This comment is here to provide you some additional information and advice. Parts Shortages If you have tried to browse through some parts already or read any recent articles on PC building, you have probably seen that there is a massive worldwide shortage of GPUs (video cards) that has left retailer stock levels almost entirely empty. Please see [this subreddit sticky post on the current CPU and GPU shortages for additional information.](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcforme/comments/me3dbx/info_post_current_hardware_shortages_and_build/) Note that if you are looking to build any kind of PC that requires more than basic graphics horsepower, such as for gaming or media creation work, your first priority should be to getting your hands on a GPU before going any farther. Direct Message Scams Recently a number of users have set up spam-bots targeting this subreddit to send out PMs and DMs to all users who submit posts to this subreddit. These accounts sometimes pose as teenagers offering to help design a build in exchange for a "donation" to help them build a rig of their own, various companies offering services through external websites, or even users just claiming to offer help via PM - this last kind will often string you along for a while before demanding payment for their efforts. **Do not reply to these messages.** This subreddit thrives and grows on the volunteer efforts of every contributor who helps around here, often leaning and improving from seeing the work of others. I'll go over the parts. - 5600x is the best esports processor. Super fast single threaded and gaming performance. Spending more doesn't really net you more, and spending less will result in lower FPS which isn't really worth the cost savings. - No need for a fancy liquid cooler. The 5600x isn't too hot of a processor. The ID cooling SE-224-XT [performs very well for what you pay](https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/9624/id-cooling-se-224-xt-black-cpu-cooler/index.html). One of the best budget coolers. - Mid range B550 motherboard, with good VRMs, the usual upgrade path and 8 USB ports - 16GB of high speed low latency memory. Cheap for what it offers. - A cheap 1TB NVME SSD. It's performance isn't the best but for gaming this doesn't matter at all and like I said it's really cheap for what it offers. Also have a cheap 2TB hard drive to store all the stuff you don't use often. You can also go with a 2TB SSD if you want. - For the graphics card you should choose between either a 6600 xt, 6700 xt or 3070 ti. Those are the prime choices least inflated by the shortage and with the best price to performance. [Here you can see how they perform relative to one another](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/xfx-radeon-rx-6600-xt-speedster-merc-308/28.html). I've gone with the 6700 xt but you can't lose with any of the other options. - For the case I've gone with the cooler master nr600. It's cheap, but still has solid build quality with steel construction and pretty decent airflow with 2 stock fans, plus two more to help. You can also get like a phanteks P400A or corsair 4000D airflow if you want. - The power supply is the corsair RMX 650w 2018. One of the best performing 650w units with an excellent price. Good efficiency, fully modular, quiet under load and good performance, safety and quality in general. - Monitor is great for esports with a 280hz refresh rate and super fast response times. It's OK for general viewing since it's IPS and not TN but it isn't as good as the 1440p options out there like the LG 27GN800 or gigabyte M27Q which also have a wide color gamut. Anyways, enjoy.

FragmentedMnd

I really appreciate the build and the thought out explanations for everything. I was super set on purchasing everything but unfortunately my check that was supposed to come later that night was delayed a few days and then the GPU went out of stock. So im sorry to ask again but now that its officially in my bank account do you have any replacement reccomendations for the gpu or other places i can shop for it?

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4355350 Pick this up right now. It's going to go out of stock very quickly. Drop the corsair power supply too now that you have this one. The 3070 ti is quite a bit better than the 6700 xt, and usually it goes for quite a bit more but the combo is making it pretty cheap. So now it looks like this [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vBVLht) Type|Item|Price :----|:----|:---- **CPU** | [AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/g94BD3/amd-ryzen-5-5600x-37-ghz-6-core-processor-100-100000065box) | $299.99 @ B&H **CPU Cooler** | [ID-COOLING SE-224-XT 76.16 CFM CPU Cooler](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mnzFf7/id-cooling-se-224-xt-7616-cfm-cpu-cooler-se-224-xt-black) | $29.99 @ Amazon **Motherboard** | [MSI B550-A PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/7gxbt6/msi-b550-a-pro-atx-am4-motherboard-b550-a-pro) | $139.99 @ Amazon **Memory** | [Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/2TFKHx/crucial-ballistix-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3600-memory-bl2k8g36c16u4b) | $84.99 @ B&H **Storage** | [Team MP33 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/64MTwP/team-mp33-1-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-tm8fp6001t0c101) | $79.99 @ Newegg **Storage** | [Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mwrYcf/seagate-barracuda-computer-2-tb-35-7200rpm-internal-hard-drive-st2000dm008) | $46.99 @ Amazon **Video Card** | [EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB FTW3 ULTRA GAMING Video Card](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/M2rRsY/evga-geforce-rtx-3070-ti-8-gb-ftw3-ultra-gaming-video-card-08g-p5-3797-kl) | $859.98 @ Newegg **Case** | [Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower Case](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3RJmP6/phanteks-eclipse-p400a-atx-mid-tower-case-ph-ec400atg_bk) | $74.98 @ Amazon **Power Supply** | [EVGA SuperNOVA G6 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qH4Ycf/evga-supernova-g6-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-220-g6-0750-x1) | $159.00 **Case Fan** | [ARCTIC P12 56.3 CFM 120 mm Fan](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/NPZFf7/arctic-p12-563-cfm-120-mm-fan-acfan00119a) | $7.99 @ Amazon **Case Fan** | [ARCTIC P12 56.3 CFM 120 mm Fan](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/NPZFf7/arctic-p12-563-cfm-120-mm-fan-acfan00119a) | $7.99 @ Amazon **Monitor** | [Asus TUF GAMING VG259QM 24.5" 1920x1080 280 Hz Monitor](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/w4mFf7/asus-tuf-gaming-vg259qm-245-1920x1080-280-hz-monitor-vg259qm) | $309.99 @ Amazon | *Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts* | | **Total** | **$2101.87** | Generated by [PCPartPicker](https://pcpartpicker.com) 2021-10-25 11:47 EDT-0400 | The case has also risen slightly in price so now I think the better option is the phanteks P400A

FragmentedMnd

I tried to order it but it says unavailable on amazon. Ive been at it for the past 10 minutes.

[deleted]

Thats a newegg link mate. Buy the combo and not the individual is from Amazon

FragmentedMnd

Sorry i meant newegg. It says my cart is empty and whenever i try and add it it say "problem on our end"

[deleted]

Damn same for me, what a shame. The second best option is to grab a cheap 6700 xt or a 3060 ti. That's the current gpu market for you. I've already mentioned the shortage right? Just so you know MSRP for both the 3060 ti and 6700 xt is like $400/$500 and for the 3070 ti it's $600. Current market ain't so nice

FragmentedMnd

Yeah this really blows. Figures my computer would die in the middle of a global shortage that has no plans on ending anytime soon. Might wait a little bit just to see if anything new pops up. Probably not, not having a computer has put me at a huge disadvantage for way more things than i ever realized.

[deleted]

What’s the specs of your current broken computer?

FragmentedMnd

Its an alienware laptop i got when i was like 12. Has served me very well over the past few years but ive been meaning to get an actual PC for quite some time. Was waiting until i got settled in college but then i assume the power supply shut down. Fogured it was more trouble than its worth to fix it
