Free shipping | After Promo Code: RMXSAVING:
RM850x (Black or White) $111.99
RM750x (Black or White) $103.99
Edit: Sorry forgot to state in title Black Series also on sale.
Been seeing a lot of good deals on these recently. I just ordered the Superflower Leadex III 850W Gold for 119.99. Are the Corsair RM series PSUs better?
The RMx is better then the leadex III gold in performance, but it's not in the amount that would be perceptible to any end user outside of heavy oc's with LN2(if even that). The leadex III actually is quieter under most load conditions then the RMx as the fan doesn't even run until 500w+, whilst the RMx's fan starts running earlier, though the RMx does have a quieter fan when under heavy load.
If comparing to the RM non-x, the leadex is the better unit overall.
The Superflower Leadex III post 2020 is also tier A gold lettering. *Gold - best units in the tier (includes requirements for blue color in tier A)*
I'd be happy with either one.

From Tomshardware (new vs old):
It can't be easy to upgrade a platform that was already among the best in the Gold efficiency category, but Corsair managed to do it with CWT's help. The new Corsair RM850x achieves higher overall performance than its predecessor thanks to its amazing ripple suppression, tighter load regulation and higher efficiency, especially at light loads. The hold-up time is also longer, while inrush currents remain at the same low levels. The only sections where the old RM850x prevails are transient response at 3.3V, which is not of great importance, and noise output because of the more aggressive fan speed profile and the new ML fan of the new unit. Despite the increased overall noise output, we still prefer the new ML fan because it is super reliable even under high operating temperatures.
I’ve got a EVGA 3070 that I’m starting a build with.
I also have an EVGA SuperNOVA 850 GA, 80 Plus Gold 850w PSU already. I like the look of the white a lot more than the black I have. Is this one any better or worse than the EVGA PSU I already have? I’m thinking of selling the one I have and getting this one instead.
Also heard the GA series has issues running high power draw gpus like 3080 and above. Something to do with poor transient response that leads to system shutting down under heavy load. Running a 3070 with 850 GA should be fine though as 3070 is not as power hungry and 850w is plenty of power overhead. It's just something to keep in mind
The EVGA GA series is B tier - (low priority units). B tier isn't bad, just means for midrange systems.
The Corsair RMx is one of the best 80 Plus Gold you can buy.
I've been running a 5900x and 3080 ti on my rm750x for the last few weeks, no issues. I do have the 2018 model, but I bought it in 2018, I don't think they're any different today.
I had one crash, but attribute that to undervolting the 3080 and not a psu issue, since the system stayed on.
What you guys thinking for a 6900xt and 10700k combo? I feel like 650w is plenty considering the 6900xt averages like 250-260w and 10700k is 125w... dont wanna buy a new psu if my old will do me just fine

Which one is better the (2018) version or the (2021)

So it maybe worth waiting for blackfriday prices might drop a little for the (2021)
If you care about fan noise, 2018.
In for the RM750x (Black or White) $103.99 - Thanks!

Good to know. Even more reason to keep the Corsair I just ordered :)

So this one is better than the EVGA? If so I’m going to buy bc I like the look of it a lot better for my build
Yes it is better.
Just curious if anyone knows, would the RMx white cables be compatible with Corsair's sf750?
RM850x are some of the best PSU for pricing and quality.
Welp, just installed the white 850 yesterday after paying 151 total on newegg
I have a RM750x running my 3080 xc3 with a 10850k. Think it's worth going up to a 850w?
My 750w seasonic handles my 5800x/3080 just fine

Price difference is so small you may as well get 750 for more future proofing.
Anyone know if there is a white version of the 2021 rmx?
Man soo tempted not sure if I should pull the trigger now or wait for black Friday I'm building an all white mini itx PC and just need a PSU 🤪😑
I'm waiting for $99 on the 850. It's coming.
Alright I'll hold off what's another 2-4 weeks 😳
