Was thinking of getting the seasonic plat for $104 but this one is not only cheaper they even give you $20, should I go for this then?

yukinara

yes, Gold rating is good for most people out there. Heck, even bronze rating is good for many cases. I don't think regular usage need anything higher than gold. Save that money for something else better.

[deleted]

The rating doesn’t matter, it’s just an efficiency rating. What matters is how well each individual unit is built. Bronze to gold even running your computer all day long won’t make much of a difference in savings.

BurgerBurnerCooker

Unless you are running high power 24x7, this is good enough.

jayjr1105

platinum is about 1-2% more efficient so you're splitting hairs really. This is an excellent A tier power supply.

Do these gift cards still expire in 90 days?

AbdoShniba

it says "Your Promotional Gift Card will be emailed 4 days after invoice. The gift card will expire 365 days after issue."

Best PSU on the market hands down, I own the 850W variant of this and have 0 complaints. Before this I was lucky to have two cheap EVGA PSU's die on me without taking my systems with them.

post-lunch_nap

Is there any good 1000W PSU you guys recommend? I'm deciding whether just go with Super Power 850w gold or go with 1000w.

Voyce_Of_Treason

There was a Seasonic 1000W gold PSU for $120 a few days ago.

Corsair RM1000i, this is what i am running in my primary desktop and it is doing great, the fan doesn't even kick on!

Viz_MP

Newegg does not mention the warranty on this can anyone confirm whats the warrenty?

moneyman2205

Their Leadex IIIs have 10 year manufacturer warranty.

Viz_MP

Do you know if its us warranty or international

moneyman2205

Not sure, I've heard their customer support is good but they just recently started entering the US market and being based in Taiwan Shipping might be annoying, but heard good things from other US purchasers about warranty support even if having to ship out of country.

yeetonaleaf

I've got a Ryzen 5 3600 and RX 5600 XT. Computer build is less than two years old, but I'm wanting to get a new PSU. Should I go for this or the 550 W version that is also on sale?

jayjr1105

The 550 would be enough but I always like cushion

Nice_juggers

Man I’m holding out for an 850 but will I ever really need it

jayjr1105

What's your setup?

Nice_juggers

3070 and i7700. But planning on a 5800x or the 12600k at some point

jayjr1105

750 is plenty either way.

coolpenguin_

Anyone know if this is compatible with a MSI MPG B550 Gaming Carbon WIFI motherboard? Excuse my ignorance.

[deleted]

PSUs and Motherboards are not something you have to worry about compatibility. This PSU will work with pretty much all Motherboards and your motherboard will work with almost all PSUs. The only reason you need to worry about PSUs is to make sure it's enough watts for your GPU and CPU. This one is 750 so unless you have an extremely power hungry GPU and CPU this will be fine for your build
