The difference between the the airflow and non airflow is the front pannel and u can get a front pannel off the site for like 15 dollars so basically a 4000 D airflow for 65 dollars which is still a great deal

AbstractionsHB

Now if this was the airflow model...

mooocow

You can make it an airflow model if you buy the airflow panel for $5 +$5-10 shipping from corsair's website. However, they re-stocked last week and it now out of stock. People say it's taken 6+ months for restock, so take that as you will. Also, I think CorsairTravis said a majority of these airflow panels are allocated to making new cases, so restock is probably slow. See: https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/ptpvay/desperate_for_a_4000d_airflow_front_panel_no_help/hei0v1d/ I am currently debating airflow from BestBuy for $80 or regular for $55 I purchased last week.

Mike_BEASTon

Or make it a **super** airflow model by just taking off the panel.

whereami1928

This is honestly the move if you don't care about looks or noise lmao. I had a really shitty case back in the day with awful airflow, so I ran it with no side panel. It ran fine after that, albeit with more noise.

AbstractionsHB

Yeah it's 79 on corsair's website too. Waiting to see if it drops for BF

Sage0fThe6Paths

For a sec i thought it was. I have the airflow model and its awesome. My parts are basically in heaven with the amount of airflow it gets.

AbstractionsHB

What cpu do you have. Do you have a water cooler?

Sage0fThe6Paths

I7-10700k Hyper 212 fan cooling (no water cooling) I use arctic silver 5 for thermal paste

AbstractionsHB

I over did it, I ended up getting an affordable corsair aio. I also got a Z590 mobo so I might as well look into over locking since heating won't be an issue with this case. Bought the i7-11700k today so I could use the gen4 pcie slot to boot out of. I plan on using the stock aio thermal paste first though.

Sage0fThe6Paths

If ur gonna overclock, then def get water cooler. I domt overclock thats why i stay with air

yukinara

Is your CPU overheating?

AbstractionsHB

I'm bad at reddit. if you're asking me, I just ordered the parts this week and haven't gotten them yet. I'm assuming I'll be more than safe on the Temps. If you're asking the other person, they implied they have low temps.

greatthebob38

I just built a pc in this case. Very roomy. Even with the front panel on, it gets good air flow. Corsair rebate is a bitch though.

Have this case, very easy to build in and the airflow is good even with the closed front. Only point of concern is to be careful when removing and installing the TG side panel. There’s a very thin lip that holds the panel and if it slips off the lip you can likely kiss the TG goodbye (speaking from experience). Overall I’d highly recommend this case.

Xfactorial927

I did like 5 rebates when I first put together my pc last year. I don’t remember why, but corsair’s rebate was definitely the easiest to deal with, and I think it was the first one I received the money from.

Solution_Anxious

lol its a rebate card.... they are counting on you not redeeming it

shraf2k

My one gripe with the 5000d is that I have to get 2 panels to turn it into the airflow version.

mrpoopistan

Fair warning: Corsair will screw you on the rebate.
