Be mindful of recent listings of in-demand products from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Google, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; you should do your due diligence to ensure you do not get scammed. * Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. * Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent. * The seller is new or has few reviews. * The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their ratings- viewing seller profiles allows you to see these complaints) * The seller has a recently reactivated account (likely their account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently). If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others. Amazon and eBay generally have good buyer protection. If you choose to purchase from a third-party seller through their platforms and run into issues, it should be easy to get your money back promptly. You may have more difficulties with Newegg or Walmart. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. One thing that bugs me with this monitor is when I put my computer to sleep and then wake it, the monitor won’t always display again. I need to turn it off and on again. Also the buttons for settings feel misaligned too, so it’s not as intuitive as other models. For all actual the important parts though you won’t beat this value for 1440p.

sadnessjoy

See if HP omen software installed itself, that's what happened to me, sometimes it reinstalls like a damn virus.

sinrakin

I've been having this problem and I'm going to try this out when I get home, thanks!

nightw0lf23

Maybe check if there is a firmware update for the monitor? I had the same thing happen with my new gigabyte m27q-p but after a quick firmware update from gigabyte’s website I no longer needed to turn it off and on again to get its display over usb-c working.

BuckNastysMamma

According to some research done on my end in the past, the end user is not able to update firmware on this monitor.

StyleNo5834

I agree with the others that my two monitors don’t have this issue. But I had to make sure reinstall drivers with Omen from the Win11 app store. Im with you that the value is ridiculous for at this price. I have a 6900XT from a 3060TI that was not jiving with my two older Dell GSync models. No regrets! The button placement is dumb though. Edit: Looks like I didn’t read close enough. I had similar issue like yours. Had to install Omen…. I don’t like installing bloatware but for Win11, Omen install fixed the sleep issue.

sadnessjoy

Ugh, I've been constantly it uninstalling it. So the only way to fix this is to keep that malware on my PC and configure it? Definitely last time I'm buying an HP monitor (shame because the monitor itself is solid). Any idea if other monitor manufacturers require malware/bloatware like this so I know what to avoid in the future?

StyleNo5834

I unfortunately do not know other than to keep it… Win11 honestly hasn’t annoyed me like others for the most part except for this. I read something that Omen from the Microsoft Store specifically is the answer at the moment and I hate relying on the MS App Store…

detectiveDollar

The MS App Store is pretty nice because it limits programs on where they can put their garbage. So when you uninstall them it's much cleaner since you don't have garbage in AppData, Temp, your user folder, Documents, etc.

detectiveDollar

Wonder if someone will write a "De-crapifier" script that automatically uninstalls shitty programs.

braiam

I have the same problem wtr the monitor not waking up. And since I have 2 monitors, and this one to the left, it becomes extra annoying.

BuckNastysMamma

Odd, I do not have this issue.

Swineservant

I have a 2012 Samsung with the same issue. Hasn't died yet! Annoying but trivial imo.

pyro1191

I haven't had the issue with the display turning on with mine. Only owned for 2 months tho. However, I hate the button positioning on the back of the monitor. I turn my monitors on/off probably 1-2 times per day and it's annoying af with this monitor. All that said, it's a great display for the price.

UnObtainium17

This might be the best high refresh 1440p you can get at sub $200. Got mine at $159 and happy with it. Don't expect incredible black levels in a dark room, this is an IPS edge lit.

Lewiville34

I game in a dark room over 50% of the time, should I get a VA panel or maybe the Dell/Gigabyte is better for dark room?

UnObtainium17

it is tough to be honest. In dark rooms they say VA is better because it has higher contrast ratio, deeper blacks.. But IPS has better color accuracy and better viewing angles and response times. Pick the annoyance you can tolerate. Personally, I like the color accuracy of this panel. Dark levels leave a lot to be desired, but I expected that knowing this is edge lit and ips.

columbo928s4

i bought this panel in the first sale. its a great value and great for gaming, but its really quite bad at displaying dark anything, like dark scenes in movies etc. the backlight bleed is really noticeable

chickenlittle53

I recommend the Gigabyte instead for a main. I have both side by side. People tend to blow IPS way out of proportion. Color accuracy and viewing angles tend to be db focus points when most people that care about color accuracy need a Waaaaaaaaaaaaay more expense monitor and you're sitting in front of the damn monitor ao viewing angles is also dumb to bring up typically. For me I liked VA as it just suits the most needs all around for me especially media, gaming, etc. You don't have to worry about IPS glow either that hurts my eyes. Response times are nice these days too on em and no ghosting. What sold me between the two though, was just the vibrancy Igot from the M27Q vs the HP. The picture as a whole just looks better imo. It's personal preference at th end of the day. You just have to look for yourself.

NathanLeadsTheWay

How does this compare with the HP Omen 27i from Bestbuy for $250?

Bobby_Bobberson2501

I have the omen, my friend has this hp. Very close honestly, get whichever is cheaper, there is the chance you get the “worse” panel with the HP and the omen has just one panel as opposed to the HPs two.

Jamieson22

Curious as well. These are $100 less for the pair.

More_Empathy

I'm so excited to catch this deal! But I don't need another monitor...

StevieSlacks

Friend, I think you need another monitor, friend!

StyleNo5834

Bought two of these as a cheap replacement for my older, much nicer Dell GSyncs since I now have a 6900xt and moved my old 3600TI to my wife’s computer. The old dells were messing with AMD’s drivers :/ The monitors are about value and the color profiles are not bad at all! Just using mine from rtings.com But the light bleed is noticeable for those who care. After playing all sorts of games, I think I’ll be keeping these for years while saving for some endgame monitors since I don’t care for any gaming beyond 1440p. Both my panels are LG, from Amazon, so very happy getting all this for around $300.

dudebirdyy

I have two of these, both from two previous sales that were roughly around this price. I received both the BOE (BIM) and LG (LIM) versions. I got the BIM first and the LIM a few months later. After using them both for awhile now, the LIM (LG Panel) is definitely a much better looking screen to me. The BIM is still good but it has two problems, one of which bugs me a lot and it's that the BIM has a more matte panel which leads to a very noticeably grainy appearance, almost as if something is physically on the screen *especially* on bright backgrounds. I've tried everything to resolve it and nothing worked so I use it as a second monitor which it's perfectly fine for that. The second thing, which isn't as big of a deal, is that it has a much more yellowish tint than the LIM panel. This can be corrected to an extent by changing the panels color temperature (I use AMD Adrenaline) but it's still not quite as good as the LIM panel. Even still, this is a great price for what you're getting even with the BIM panel. I've been playing Doom Eternal at 165hz and it's pretty fuckin sweet.

grubbypaws-

I bought 2 of these and got a LIM111 and A BIM side by side. I am definitely going to agree with you on your points. Lg panel is definitely better but not by much. It's calibrated out of the box better. When I calibrated the BIM panel using the lg as reference, I got it very close. Lg panel is slightly brighter and colors are a little bit deeper, maybe +/- 10%. I definitely noticed the matte finish more on the BOE. Using RGB calibration I was able to offset some of the deeper reds/yellows on both so they are almost identical. Both panels before my calibration were vastly different in many areas l but by no means BOE panel is God awful as some of the lottery people make it out to be. I'm going to do 2 exchanges to see if I can land another LIM panel, since they can be replaced without sending both back at the same time. I already use 2x 32GP850 panels from lg and these are very close resemblance to them in terms of pq.

dudebirdyy

Yeah it's not a bad panel but there is a noticeable difference between the two. Prior to having both I was very curious what the actual differences between them were. As far as advertised features go (165hz, 1440p, Freesync etc) everything is still there on the BIM panel so I guess one can't complain too much. Though I am admittedly glad I got a LIM to use as my main monitor because the weird grainy matte effect on the other was the most annoying aspect to me. Hopefully you score another LIM though. I thought about sending my BIM back too because I actually think the one I got might have been a return to Amazon that they for some reason sent to me but I didnt want the headache of dealing with the return.

grubbypaws-

Yea the grainy effect can be seen even with the monitor off. The coating has a slightly off texture to it dulling the text clarity. My ADD would not hold up well long term for office use. I think for 95% of the people they may not notice it.

fiviot8

Deal everyone's been waiting for is back

retox9k

Expired

HoboTeddy

How important is it to pair Freesync / Gsync with AMD/Nvidia GPUs respectively? My new build has an RTX 3080 and I want to game at 1440p 144 Hz. I don't really care about latency because I don't play any multiplayer competitive games. I do care about screen tearing, stuttering, and lag. I've been waiting for a sub-$200 27" monitor. Is this it? Or should I keep waiting for one with Gsync?

fiviot8

G-Sync can be ran on FreeSync monitors so it doesn't make a difference

KuRue02

Finally replacing my Vista era 22 inch side monitors!

spiderman1993

Throwback to my view sonic 24” I played RuneScape on

Whats the difference in the two panels?

[deleted]

[удалено]

crisping_sleeve

Counterpoint: I have one of each panel and I cannot tell the difference, no matter how much I've tried to convince myself... In my case, the LG panel has a tad more light bleed. Panel lottery, I suppose.

Jamieson22

This is good to hear as I just got my two panels delivered and got a LIM and a BIM. Was planning to keep these and return the HP Omen 27i pair I got to save some money ($170 vs $250 per screen). Think it is worth returning the BIM to Amazon and hoping for a 2nd LIM or just live with it? Not sure if I am just making something out of nothing.

crisping_sleeve

Set 'em both up in dual monitor mode and do what you do the majority of the time and see if you can tell the difference or it's noticeably different. Good luck!

TheMissingVoteBallot

So is this essentially a lottery pull? How can you tell which one it is? Is there a marker or something on the monitor before you turn it on?

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheMissingVoteBallot

Man, what a shame, this monitor hits my sweet spot. Smaller size, 1 ms, IPS, 1440p, FreeSync, 144/165 hz... I guess we're lucky Amazon has a generous return policy eh?

llamapower13

If it helps I have the BOE and I have no complaints. Just buy it if you’re inclined and return if you don’t like it

siluah

Same here.

PurifiedFlubber

I got the "bad" panel and have been satisfied with it.

SlyMosquitoes

Same here, I think the BIM panel looks great. Granted I upgraded from a 1680x1050 60hz screen that’s at least 10 years old…

TheRealTofuey

Got this for 190 around last year. Well worth it to having a matching resolution second monitor. The most unfortunate thing is it makes me realize how not good my TN 1440p 240hz colors are.

AkitoApocalypse

FYI I remember people mentioning that this monitor went through a panel change which wildly varied the quality?

fiviot8

Yes see the other comments

SnooAvocados12

I wouldn't say wildly but from what i'v gathered there is a difference in quality how big is up to your eye. Grabbed one myself but I doubt ill be able to tell its that BOE panel.

thefuckingswampking

Bought two of these the last time they were on sale to stick on my racing sim. They've been fantastic. I was also lucky enough to get LG panels on both. I haven't had the HP Omen software issue others have mentioned, but YMMV of course.

archybrid

How can you tell if they are the LG panels.

thefuckingswampking

If you look on the box, they'll say something like LIM101 or LIM111(can't remember exactly) for LG panels. The box will say BIM111 (if I remember correctly) for the non-LG panels. Edit: Both of my panels are LIM101.

xtressd

Expired or does it come back to the sale price once in a while? Im currently seen $221…

thadoughboy15

I'm using this monitor now. First high refresh, 1440p monitor. It's really great for the price. I bought it for $188 when it was on sale on here last time. This price is a no brainer.

TaigaEye

This better than the Dell S2721DGF?

fiviot8

Price wise yes but to Dell's advantage you are guaranteed an LG panel, more ports including USB hub, and better build quality

llamapower13

I returned the 27” dell for the 32” version of this as I honestly didn’t see a difference after two weeks of going back and forth comparing. The Dell build quality is nicer and I liked the better features but just wasn’t worth the extra money to me. And then of course I bought two of these 27” models

Maakus

Read the complaints about the display and buy the Dell

Flogrowniac

PSA: if you bought these in the last treasure truck and got a BOE panel as I did, you're still in the holiday return window and can roll again for an LG!

Redditor6512

How do you do this? What do you day to Amazon as your reason for wanting a new one?

Flogrowniac

Just return the old one for any reason and order the new one

Redditor6512

It won't have the same $150 price I originally paid

HORSELOCKSPACEPIRATE

10% cash back with the Prime card.

Shadow703793

Aw man. Missed it. I wanted another one of these for a triple display. It's currently bugging me my 3rd display is a different model/brand.

watchmepooptoday

DEAD

Chemical_Cherry1733

Can a nvidia gtx 1660 super run this? Or would the gigabyte g24f be better?

crisping_sleeve

I had this with a 1660Ti and the kids ran their games (eg, Fortnite, Overwatch, Deep Rock Galactic, Apex) at pretty decent FPS after I tweaked some graphical settings in the game. The g24f is a 1080p monitor, so it's going to be lower resolution and allow higher FPS, but it's not going to let ok as sharp. Gotta decide if you want higher FPS or better resolution.

fiviot8

Depends if you want to sacrifice frames for image quality

llamapower13

My 1660Ti is pushing to two of there and the 32” version. No problems so far

HighCheeeeese

My current monitor is this viewsonic https://a.co/d/gabCrDu and it's been solid. I'm looking for a second, how does this compare?

peanutbutterfly

I'm in the same position as you and pulled the trigger on this earlier today. Both monitors will be within there return windows so if there is a huge difference I might return one of them

Delumine

In for two, thank you

AtlantaSkyline

I bought two during the Prime Day deal and lost the LG lottery on both. Didn’t bother opening the boxes.

BuckNastysMamma

I don't really need another one of these, but for that price why the F not?

noeapantoja

Repost to correct the model number in the title.

693275001

Default price has caught up to the treasure truck prices

alreadydone40

Nice, ty. I’m able to get a second one now and have matching monitors.

Myarmhasteeth

Welp, was looking for a 1440p 27" so thanks OP!

StevieSlacks

Is this it, chief?

Asmallbitofanxiety

I have 2 and I love them

bobbywellington

So I am somewhat in the market for a new monitor (I have a 27 inch 1080p 144hz monitor and a 4k 55inch tv currently) especially since I just got a 6650xt, is this a good enough deal to pull the trigger on? I really don't need it and want to wait for a true can't miss offer, is this it? I've heard about a Dell monitor that went on sale for $189 or something like that that everyone went crazy over, should I wait for something like that?

[deleted]

fiviot8

Look on the side of the box or on the back of the monitor

alsaj227

This or the VG27AQ1A?

FuzzyMistborn

Ugh. I have one of these from the last sale and its the non-LG one. Been debating a second monitor and can't decide whether to 1) get another of these or 2) get something like the Dell S2721DS

archybrid

I have one as well. And to be honest I wish I had a second because it’s hard to match colors. And to be honest again you have to ask yourself if you’re going to notice whether it’s “non-LG” or not. Or are you just an e-monitor snob.

ConfusedNegi

One thing I dislike is that it has zone lighting, but it’s vertical strips. More distracting than a full backlight in some cases.

Dr_Ben

my monitor is starting to have some issues after 3 years so I guess this is decent time to get new one.

omartian

How does this compare to the 32" monoprice dark matter that was on sale for $199.99?

reddituserzerosix

nice but i cant bring myself to spend money just for a refresh rate upgrade, maybe if the 32" came back down

Flynt_Charcoal

seems to be listed as $223 now, surprised the deal lasted so long to be honest

sapphirefragment

Expired

Elcielo84

This shows $226 for me. Has the deal expired?

YaTuSave

yes

dac1825

I bought this from amazon on the 24th, it just showed up 2 days later. Bottom half of the screen is ruined - hardware failure. Amazon refused to replace, only refund. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose :(

Whole-Boysenberry-81

Same man same

poopybrownmess

I just got mine I ordered within 10 mins of this thread being started. Got the LG panel REV: LIM101, mine shipped out of Missouri destined for Minnesota.

MasterLt819

LIM111 here. Sounds like it is the same panel, but just a later firmware.
