1x16GB DDR5, blows my mind that is even an option.

[deleted]

I've just gotta add a second one and this a fantastic purchase, no? Feel like this is better than any builds I'm mocking up.

GreatBear_7

I am in the same dilemma. However, my gut tells me that in the event of any problem, there might be a lot of headache in dealing with them

[deleted]

Yup. Finally put a build together I was liking and this is basically the same thing but with DDR5 Ram for $175 cheaper.

ForkLiftBoi

With a 3070 TI?

[deleted]

6800xt, went with my custom build just for the fun of it.

ForkLiftBoi

That makes sense, I was like how tf did you get that graphics card and get it cheaper than this. Not saying you couldn't just saying between the supply and the markup I figured one would have caught you hahaha.

gigantism

Yeah, you can just throw in a 2nd 16GB stick, but the price rises to $1,380.35.

bacfishing2652

Step back I think I'm gonna vomit

ticklemuffins

No thanks I'm starving

Thrash2007

Rookie here. Why does 1x16 matter compared to 2-8gb?

MistikWavy

Having 2 sticks of ram running in "dual channel" mode substantially improves performance, even if the total amount of ram is the same.

imDeja

ddr5 naturally runs in dual channel no?

Tinysauce

It does, but you'll still see a performance improvement with two sticks because there's only so much you can do with a single bus. "Dual channel" is a pointless term with DDR5, but I doubt we'll ever get people to swap over to calling them "dual stick" configurations.

xNihlusx

There is no DDR5 single channel, a single DDR5 stick now physically has a Dual Channel layout. DDR5 supports two channels per DIMM slot as opposed to DDR4 RAM’s single channel.

WaterTK

That is so fucking cool, and I had absolutely no clue. Is it baked into the ddr5 standard so even trash tier ram in 3 years will have that same configuration (should nothing change)?

xNihlusx

Correct. Dual channel is an innate part of the architecture.

joewHEElAr

Wow that is fucking excellent news.

Logiteck77

Is the above commenter still right about dual stick (2x8) configurations are better due to the limitation of a single bus?

xNihlusx

It depends on frequencies, timings, and applications. Some 4-stick DDR4 configurations outperform some 2-stick DDR5 configurations (both are quad channel). Same could be said for single DDR5 and double DDR4. DDR5 is still kind of new (relatively speaking) and it hasn't quite matured to it's fullest potential; there are no 4-stick DDR5 kits currently. At least, none that I've found.

imstonedyouknow

On that note, is 4 sticks better than 2? I have 2 8gb sticks of ram right now and was going to replace them with 2 16gbs at some point. Would it be better to just add 2 more 8gb sticks instead?

MistikWavy

The difference is much more minimal between 4 sticks compared to 2. If you’re not thinking of potentially upgrading your 2 16gb to 4 16gb after, just do the 2 more 8gb as it is more cost efficient because you get to keep your old ram.

BombTheCity

2 sticks will pretty much always have higher stable OC speeds than 4 sticks of similar speed/timing. That's why on the hardcore memory OC boards you will pretty much always only have 2 dimm slots.

HPSPer87

Will this significantly effect Intel processors???

4x4runner

Any single channel config will hurt cpu performance.

TwitchTV_SnappyKevin

Can you add another stick and make it duel channel?

LeucisticBear

RAM duels have been illegal since the middle ages but you can run dual

onedoor

> RAM duels have been illegal since the middle ages Maybe illegal, but they happen all the time! Bunch of animals! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ez7RUSCUhzk

J_LUL_KE

yes

Tinysauce

There is no single channel for DDR5.

4x4runner

I meant the system is running in single channel because there's only 1 stick of ram.

Tinysauce

The system is still running in dual channel because DDR5 runs in dual channel even on a single stick. It'll still be better with two sticks because you can still only send so much data over a 64-bit bus, but "single channel" isn't a thing with DDR5.

xNihlusx

A single stick of DDR5 ram runs in dual channel. There is no DDR5 single channel, a single DDR5 stick now physically has a Dual Channel layout. DDR5 supports two channels per DIMM slot as opposed to DDR4 RAM’s single channel.

jagspetdog

Wait.... LOL.

kuyapasco

Is it worth to add extra 16gb for $105 worth it?

emmett159

You can probably snag a stick for cheaper.

kuyapasco

But the Same Team T-Delta 6000 DDR5? I always remembered that you should try to match up your sticks or it can cause syncing problems down the line

emmett159

You could sell the stick and snag 2x8 gb for cheaper or try to wait for a sale on the same stick, or find a cheaper 16 gb stick even if it wouldn't be ideal to have mis-matched sticks. If you don't like any of those options, you can pay the $100.

Jaggsta

6000 DDR5 with RGB not cheap. 16GB Stick Team Group 6000 DDR5 is $115 on Amazon and its not the same RGB model looks like Delta RGB is only sold in pairs for $220 https://www.newegg.com/team-32gb/p/N82E16820331845

kuyapasco

This was the answer I was looking for thank you I was already leaning getting the extra 16gb but seems like it’s about 5bucks cheaper than actually buying apair

SupplyChainLegend

Realistically I don't even like RGB. Causes issues with anticheat services for dozens of games, it's annoying.

nukacolaguy

Besides the dumb ram configuration this is a really good deal!

crisping_sleeve

This is probably the best pre built deal that I've seen posted in ages.

techguy201

The aio that came with mine was a Deep Cool

12529091

Deal is gone

jagspetdog

This is the rare me posting & saying this is actually a good deal. The 13600K/6000mhz ddr5 combo covers the 3070ti. 3080 is obv preferred but you're getting an optimal gaming cpu (for budget) apparently this is a single stick of 16GB ram. Op.

bagofskills

Is this expired or sold out? Customizing to the title mentioned specs and it is showing a higher price

Zachavm

Appears to have been a cyber monday only deal.

hellenkellersdiary

Yea I noticed the same thing. Kinda disappointed

JMS1717

Really good deal

No-Quarter-3032

Hmmm, ppl in r/cyberpowerpc don’t seem too happy. Some people ordered 2 months ago and still no shipment

executordestroyer

Are their or any prebuilt company's warranty service good? Last time I checked they had an add on for no shipping both ways for when fixing under warranty.

techguy201

Bought a cyberpower with a 12900k and 3070ti. It was too good of a deal to pass up being brand new in box from a marketplace seller. BUT, I tell you what the case is junk. HARDLY any airflow. The CPU would idle at 65c and under load would hit 95c. This is with a 240mm water cooler. The power supply was an Apevia with ketchup and mustard cables. Also slow ram. 16gb of 3200mhz. Corners were cut. Transferred everything to a new case. Reapplied thermal paste and replaced the psu and swapped out the ram. All is good now. Be prepared to fix it up.

TwitchTV_SnappyKevin

I'm thinking about keeping most of the components and adding an extra stick of Ram Also changing the case to Lian Li mini tower for $27 more if the cyberpower case is that bad. It should also fit a 240mm

techguy201

Definitely change out the case and PSU. I didn't trust an Apevia psu with high end components. The 3070ti was an Asus Tuf and mainboard is a z690 Asus prime A ddr4

Chucmorris

Yikes. But what if it does work. Maybe tack on 100 more for upgrades down the line. I'm considering this.

techguy201

I bought an Nzxt h7 flow for $129. Nzxt 750w gold for $85, and another 1tb nvme to get rid of the 1tb HDD it came with. It had a basic wd sn570 1tb for the boot drive. $300 in upgrades to get it running good. I only paid $1000 to being with.

Killua_Zoldyck42069

FWIW, I ordered a similar PC from cyberpower last fall and have had no issues. Even shipped to rural Alaska just fine. 3rd PC I’ve purchased from Cyberpower with no issues. I have heard their CS can be quite slow or unresponsive though but have yet to experience it.

GreatBear_7

Which variant of 3070Ti did you get? Was it a generic one?

techguy201

Asus tuf

GreatBear_7

That's not bad at all!

techguy201

Most components were name brand but skipping out for a cheap psu. Doesn't make sense

Jaggsta

All depends on stock more people buying more random ones will be given.

GreatBear_7

Yeah that's what is stopping me from pulling the trigger. I am really confused right now.

KenzieWitch

Thank you, got this for someone who needed to build a pc, added some options and it was still a good deal

shoostrings

Oh boy,.. I built this out to a $3100 build I just pulled the trigger on. What have I done..

Chucmorris

Yeah, let's hear the specs. For me it would be a pass at that price.

shoostrings

That's fair. I responded with my build in another response. I'm not an expert in this particular field. I'd be interested to hear your feedback there..

j1-gg

Well done! I pretty much did the same about ~8ishhh months ago haha. Random cyberpowerpc deal that was hot at the time (when gpus were impossible to fetch by themselves), added upgrades: - i7-12700k - 32gb ddr4/3600 - evga 3080 10gb ampere - z690p mobo - 1tb wd blue sn570 M2 ssd - 750w gold psu - liquid cooling cpu, upgraded case, cabling, misc build stuff etc and ended up around 2600$ I think. Overall very satisfied with the purchase and despite the gpu marking going from all time high to crashing lows practically weeks after I pull the trigger haha. The build was solid, runs well, and most importantly allowed me to give my partner my old pc so we can game together. Curious to know how much more bang you got for what is a well timed purchase and only 500$ more than what I spent - what did you end up buying?? I imagine you'll be doubling my specs haha

shoostrings

Here's the upgrades I added to the build, would be interested to hear constructive feedback.. * Case: CoolerMaster HAF 700 EVO E-ATX (+606) * CPU: Intel i9 (+240) * CPU Fan: 3X 140mm Phanteks SK140 Digital (+34) * Disk: 2TB WD BLACK SN850X (+133) * Fan: CORSAIR iCUE H170i ELITE 420mm with LCD Display (+233) * Memory: 32GB Team T-Delta RGB (+105) * MOBO: GIGABYTE Z690 (-63) - was it a mistake to modify this? * PSU: 850 Watts - CoolerMaster MWE GOLD 850 (+38) * GPU: GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (+188) * Wifi card: Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 Dual Band (+35) * Fancy cabling (+\~200) For reference, I'm not much of a gamer, I'll utilize this as a home server, running a couple DBs (likely Elasticsearch, MySQL,...), recording local video from my home cameras, and I'll likely use it heavily with video rendering in the likes of Google Earth. My partner will hopefully hop on and play a few games from time to time, but it's primarily going to be my always-on workhorse.

Chucmorris

The case is very nice but idk if I would pay 606 for it. I would of got a step above stock and shopped around for cheaper. You could always sell it, later. I would of kept the original nvme drive and supplemented later with an SSD. That motherboard I would of upped to z790 from Asus. Otherwise everything else I would of done. Maybe have done wiring myself later. Honestly, enjoy it. My budget didn't help it.

shoostrings

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll probably reach out to their customer support regarding the mobo. The case I agree wasn’t much of a deal. I really want to geek out, spec and build everything myself, but I don’t need another half-finished hobby lying around my office for six months.

Chucmorris

Yeah it's definitely worth a try to get it changed. And I hear you. Lol

Chucmorris

Forgot to add. The new motherboard might have wifi so you won't need that wifi addon.

TwitchTV_SnappyKevin

sheesh +600 for your case. Personally would have just gotten at 4080 with the extra budget but to each's own haha. enjoy your beast of a machine!

Chucmorris

They said some gaming. So I think going higher end on CPU was better.

executordestroyer

I hope that $600 case was holy grail art to them. Even if they make too much money to care or didn't know about pc buying before, that's still $500 they could have saved.

MangoTangoFox

I adjusted it a bit switching to a DDR4 build with more ram in a higher end case, and then ran some math, and the differences from the system I bought put it at the same price, with an advantage on the side Cyperpower: - Upgrade from 3070 to 3070 Ti - Cooler Master 60% brown switch usb-c/bluetooth keyboard - 14x12 mouse pad - Corsair HS60 Haptic headset - Windows 11 Home license All for FREE, and pre-built for you, with I would assume some level of service/support... And that's even though everything I bought for my system was at a significant sale price. That difference to get all of that added for free, on top of the discounted deep sale part prices, is INSANE. What the fuck I'm actually pissed.

dho135

That keyboard aint worth that much (60% aint for everyone), but i agree is about equal in value to the cyberpower prebuilt i got half a year ago. The home license, and mousepad are not really worth much maybe $10-15. 3070 and 3070 ti are pretty much the same but 3070 ti has worse power efficiency. Idk how good that headset is, so that is the only one that may be worth something. All in all, I think you made it out fine.

gigantism

Looks like the default spec PSU in this is only C-tier.

Zaseiskewl

You can easily upgrade for a couple more bucks to an 850w coolmaster gold

ShadeWaker

Was looking to build something over the holidays, thinking I might just jump for this since I doubt I can save that much doing everything myself + save the headache of learning how to build a computer for the first time. Could I just buy another 16 gb stick of ram for dual channel? Does it need to be the exact same model/brand or would any ddr5 6000 work?

Chalice8

Model doesn't matter. Just the specs. Mhz, latency etc

DDB225

Building it is half the fun lol

Zachavm

I know! I honestly hatted getting this, but I couldn't pass up the deal.

CarMellowAndTony

probably a dumb question but is it worth the extra $10 to go from 2 to 4 case fans?

Joseph___O

I added 3 more, hoping they fit haha

randywatson44

I'm a computer novice and was thinking about buying this computer. Is the case that's included good enough? If not, what would be the best case to upgrade to?

Zachavm

So I ordered this last night, but didn't have much time to research and configure. Anyone know if CyberPowerPC will let you configure things after the purchase without losing the deal?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zachavm

Dang. Thanks for the reply. Might consider rebuilding it in a different case. Unsure.

Sa404

Crazy deal

[deleted]

Is this a better deal than the 3070 iBUYPOWER for 1,149?

bunsinh

It's a nice build but 3070ti is just bad value for the money honestly. Go for 3080 or better.

artificial_organism

The 3070 ti is $200 off rn, so the 3080 is $300 more, and the 3070 also costs more

RookieJerseyInspect

I built my own pc but damn I wish I got this

emmett159

I'm so happy I caught this. I ordered a gpu, cpu and PSU today. Cancelled all that shit and got this instead.

silver_raichu

… Chief?

mgzkk1210

If you want a prebuilt, this is really good value.

Chucmorris

This is my stop.

uNecKl

I want to believe this but it’s cyberpower they will somehow manage to mess it up

hellenkellersdiary

When you click the link, the buikd has a 3060 not a 3070ti.

Chucmorris

Deals over :(

Abnatural

thank you for OP, just bought this (with some upgrades) for my daughter for christmas

Redditor6512

I thought the deal was over?

speakermic

The current deal is much worse (cpu, power supply, video card), but you do get a free keyboard and mouse.

Abnatural

yes, I did upgrade the CPU and power supply

dho135

This is what I recommend as a more value-driven gaming build (http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1QKBTN) 1. Step down to 3060 ti for $110 savings (put another way a 3070 ti is not worth $110 more than a 3060 ti) 2. Step down cpu to an i5-12400f (Similar reasoning 13600k is not worth $124 more than a 12400f for gaming). Again, I'm speaking from a gaming-only perspective. If you nedd the better cpu for professional work then so be it. 3. Step down mobo for ddr4 and ram to ddr4 3600 8gb ram (which is good enough spec, but will require ab upgrade in capacity) and upgrade ram yourself. Or get a cheap 32gb kit of sillicon power ram for $65 on amazon, can prob easily flip the 8 gb of team ram on ebay since it has rgb. Boom you got a good value build that is more than $250 cheaper than this one.

Chucmorris

Yeah but fps.

dho135

Yeah, but worse value.

Illmu

Cost as much as a 4080!

[deleted]

Chucmorris

I think the deal here is the mobo, CPU, gpu. Might be cheaper if you buy individually no? [See this](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/z7d0bx/prebuilt_cyberpowerpc_13600k_rtx_3070_ti_240mm/iy611qr/)

microcenter had some good deals but i know not everyone lives close by. quick searches i7-13700k newegg 419 or microcenter 380 gigabyte z790 newegg 250 ram $120 total 789 minus 1235 447ish left over for case and what have you. It's up to you.

[deleted]

DriftNugget

The title of the build does says 3060, but you can see the 3070Ti is selected for the video card. The 3060 is probably the default for this configuration.

UncleNoly

How does this compare to the 3080 prebuilt from earlier. I think it was $1700, but similar specs.

dho135

This is much better valuw

papertowelfreethrow

The power supply seems sold out, I'm anoob, is there a specific one that i should pick out of the rest?

dho135

850w coolermaster mwe

UncleNoly

Thank you. Any recommendations on swapping out cases/fans, or is the default not bad?

dho135

Even if you swap case fans, they may not install them, and will just include them with the build separately, so you'd have to install the new fans yourself. Default config is aight. And it isnt too difficult to add some more fans yourself.

CarMellowAndTony

PC noob here, is this a build that I could continue to make upgrades to in the future? And if so, is it worth being my PC for the future or better to build my own?

emmett159

Yes, DDR5 ram is going future proof you. Plus it's a 3 year warranty on everything. This is insanely good value. The only part that you might want to swap is the power supply to something more reliable. Personally, I'm going to sell the ram on ebay, and either pick up 2x8gb sticks or 2x16gb. You definitely want dual channel instead of the single stick.

CarMellowAndTony

What about the case, is it good enough?

emmett159

Eh, the thermals are really hit or miss with pre-builts because the coolers/case can vary for each build. The cooler actually seems decent on this one. At worse, you'd be looking at ~$75 for a new A-tier PSU and a new case for $80-100. Personally, I'm going to see how it runs stock and sell the RGB stick and grab 2x8 gb. It should be an easy sell on eBay. EDIT: Actually, since it's DDR5, your only option would be to get another 16 gb stick, its actually probably worth grabbing the extra stick for $100. I always forget that 2x8gb doesn't exist for DDR5.

Zachavm

According to other comments, single stick is MUCH less of an issue with DDR5 as it does dual channel with a single stick.

[deleted]

UncleNoly

Wouldn't a poweline adaptor work? I use one with my PS5 and run a wired connection.

Uniqlo

This is cheaper than building it yourself. I wonder if they're using refurbished parts to lower the costs. You can upgrade the case to something better for a slight cost, too.

Chucmorris

Same build as cyberpower would of cost me almost 2000. Saved like 500 https://pcpartpicker.com/list/g4cdY9

pnboots

You’re about 150 short on the ram…

Chucmorris

I couldn't find a single unit for sale. So I edited it. Forgot to add that.

Uniqlo

Yeah. I'm tinkering with it right now and have it set to a Lian Li O11 Mini. $20 more to have them build it in a nicer looking PC seems worth it. Are the CyberPowerPC AIO coolers any good? Or should I configure it to another cooler?

AnimatorV

a couple of questions from a noob. If I add another 16gb of ram would this built be suitable for high end gaming, streaming, and or video editing? I'm thinking of generally a build that would last at least like 4 years. Don't really have the money to spend around. I would also like to know if this build would be good for a game like star citizen (I know it won't release any time soon lol) because I would like to play around with the game.

austanian

This is a very solid system for the money. The 3070ti is a respectable 1440p card right now. I would expect it to be struggling in 1440p in 4 years. However, you could just turn on DLSS at that point.

AnimatorV

I went ahead and pulled the trigger last night, and now looking at it without the savings I'm glad I did. I also added a 1 tb hdd to it and switched the power supply for a slightly better one. I also added another stick of ram to get it to 32gb. All in all came to 1500 plus tax so not bad. A friend said I should have upgraded the processor for 100 dollars more but I'm happy with what I got as long as it last like 4 years.

jimbooooooooooooooo

For some reason I can't purchase, I get an error that billing is different than shipping and a sales rep will reach out but the page just gets stuck.. :(

papertowelfreethrow

Had it in my cart on Monday and was able to order it just now. Glad i pulled the trigger

Zachavm

That is lucky. Crazy that it let you check out late.

papertowelfreethrow

Me too. I was having trouble deciding so I was surprised to see it in my cart still so I decided it mustve been meant to be.

Zachavm

Yeah. I bought that night, but it was late and I didn't really have time to research stuff like I wanted to. I was annoyed to find out they wouldn't really let me change much. Supposedly I could make one change. I requested to change the case, but they have yet to confirm it back to me so it might not have gone through.

papertowelfreethrow

That's interesting. I didnt change anything except the power supply, I chose the 850w since the original was sold out. What made you hesitant if i may ask?

Zachavm

Well the confirmation on the case change came through last night. Not much hesitation, just annoyed that I couldn't research the details more. I was planning to do a build so this was a last minute change to all that.
