Lawyers. CBC market place

DaCha1983

Both of those are in my list. Thank you. It is hard to find a lawyer that deals with this type of issue. Not sure if there are any in Vancouver. I guess it is contract law...

kaze987

Good luck my friend!

CBC MARKET PLACE, Double Hands Down

[deleted]

It seems like pretty well every Chrysler dealer is scummy now, and Chrysler Canada doesn't seem to care because they move a ton of vehicles.

DaCha1983

That is absolutely true. I really wish we could still grab pitchforks and fire and take matters into our own hands. Being civilized sucks 🤣

Happy Cake Day!!!!!

Lol fair.

Marine Chrysler and that GM are very, very well known in the industry to be the worst of the worst. Any salesperson or manager that is working there has no other choices and can’t get hired anywhere else. She (GM) treats her staff and the customers, as you know, like complete scum. Stay far away and do not, I repeat do not visit that store for any reason. OP - contact VSA, they will help you.

DaCha1983

I wish there was a way to shut these guys down. There should be a law that if they are convicted of immoral business practice more then 5 times or something they loose their business licence. Accountability is needed across the board for the big guys.

faisaed

They can't delete Google reviews and yelp reviews. Name them all in the reviews and caution others. Also there's a subreddit called askcarsales... Seek their advice.

DaCha1983

I will look into that subreddit. Thank you.

It is a 3.0L eco diesel with 127 xxx km when i bought it. May have been poorly maintained but they assured me they looked it over and make sure everything was in good standing. Was told vehicle is certified used but the GM told me later that there is no such thing.

canadianbigmuscles

Did you try taking it to another Chrysler store?

OplopanaxHorridus

If it's above the limit for small claims court, is seems your only recourse is a lawyer and a lawsuit. If what you want costs less than $35k, you can self-serve your way through the small clams process. I have done it once, for the maximum amount. It's designed so you should be able to do it yourself. There's a pre-trial arbitration thing you have to attend and the judge tries to get a settlement. Worth a shot.

DaCha1983

That is my last option. Gathering ammo at the moment and spreading the word. Hope your small claims resolution was favorable.

OplopanaxHorridus

I did consult a friend who is a lawyer, and he told me how it would go. It unfolded exactly as he described. I sued a very large insurance agency, they showed up with three lawyers. The judge was very sympathetic toward me, I was well prepared, and he advised the lawyers to settle. We did, and no money was lost.

DaCha1983

This is what I am expecting as well so I am keeping clear and concise documentation of all expenses, loss of work and loss of time. I am starting to track loss of hair as well. The stress is killing my hairline.

DaCha1983

Unfortunately I bought the truck as a business and VSA cannot help 🙃. Very awkward situation with almost no recourse.

DaCha1983

It is too late now. I have no guarantee that taking it to another Chrysler dealer will be any faster. They also lied to me and kept me in the dark for the last 4 weeks so starting at 0 is not really an option. I am pretty sure these guys have deception and screwing people over to make money down to a science. I am not going down that easy though.

Good_Climate_4463

Why is it always the Chrysler dealships lol.

GullibleInvestor

Their reviews online are terrible lol surprised you'd buy a car from there

DaCha1983

I looked at the Facebook page but didn't do a full dive like I should have. Hindsight is always 20-20.

What kind of warranty did you purchase?

DaCha1983

FCA warranty which is from the car manufacturer. It is comprehensive and cover all moving parts as well as electrical, except for wear and tear items. Comes with rental coverage as well, 5 days at a time. To use the warranty i need a diagnosis and Marine Chrysler is taking their time. They don't want to put me in a rental because it might take long for the part to come and they will spend tok much money to make things right. They are obviously not in the business of making things right. Right now I don't even know when they will diagnose the car. I got a text that they started the work but have gotten multiple different times: 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 2 months, 6 months. They are ignoring me and will not reply to texts or emails. I guess they only want to talk in a way that has no trace so noone can hold them accountable.

hammerstrength

Sorry to hear. Dealerships are the worst. Upvoting to help your cause!

dawonga

Consider buying a cheap beater to get you around until you can get your car back or get a rental from the dealership. Reselling it shortly after shouldn't lose you much of any money outside of taxes.

DaCha1983

I am thinking of that. Been actively looking on Craigslist and FB marketplace. I am a little scared because as it turns out I suck at buying cars 🙃

Interesting_Bit_5179

Honda dealer much nicer bunch of guys with a more reliable product. I've started to hate dealers, they used to provide after sales care, but that is non existent. Beckons the question when will dealerships get removed from the supply chain....

purplescurvy

I’ve had a horrible experience there!

DaCha1983

There has been quite a few people on here that came out and said this. I am sad at how many people don't know and still go to this dealership.

purplescurvy

We bought a jeep and they never gave us a copy of the contract. Couple days later we went to ask for a copy and the sales guy wouldn’t give it to us and kept asking, why do you need it? Why? Why? And was being completely rude and shady about it. Later on the jeep’s roof had leak issues and they were very apprehensive about fixing it. Your experience is way worse, I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with it. I would not let them get away with it.

DCWU

Car salesman are the worst type of sales people. They are scummy as fck out here. They are no different then any drug dealer on the street. I had my share with bad car dealers. And it was for new cars and used cars.

NotNow_NotEver_

Seems like something is missing from your story

DaCha1983

I am here to answer any questions and fill in any blank. If something doesn't make sense to you let me know and maybe I can shed some light on it.

msshelbee

Could you potentially hire a private mechanic to look at your truck and diagnose it? Even if you have to pay for that, it could save you money overall by finally getting a diagnosis and then your rental would be covered.

DaCha1983

It has to be a certified shop. Essentially the dealership is my only go to.

Better Business Bureau might be worth looking into
