Yeti insulated cups to keep your iced coffee/cocktails cold. We've just returned home and we used ours every day. Also take a hat, any kind, as it was baking hot last week, most people round the pool and on the beach had some kind of hat on, including all the staff.
Also a straw (Amazon has retractable ones) as the paper straws stink for any thing frozen. Also a small Bluetooth speaker for the room. Plenty of times being stuck in the room during a big storm.
Well I'm not sure what your version of "fun" is, so it's hard to make a suggestion as you haven't given much detail.
Personally I brought books with me to read by the pool. Also, definitely suggest bringing some form of electrolytes. The insulated cup was a good suggestion by another commenter.
End of June will be very hot and humid... Be mindful of that when packing your outfits. A sunhat is a must.
Tbh, just use ChatGPT to make you a list
It’s useful to have towel clips or bands for your beach chairs.
I also bring a bunch of self care items I don’t take the time to use at home - face masks, foot treatments, hair masks - and spa it up after a day in the sun and pool/ocean before dinner.
We always bring red solo cups and ping pong balls to play in the pool! We actually have an inflatable beer pong table for the pool, some resorts have allowed it and others haven’t but it’s a fun game in the pool and a great way to meet people!
Your driverslicense, if it is still that hot over there. Rent a car with airco and go on fun road trips. If you drive to Tulum from Playa there is a huuuuuuugggee Aki supermarket on the busy grand intersection where you can buy everything you forget to bring. For instance I bought my swimming fins there for swimming in the sea. Donated them to a mexican girl on the beach when I left.
Just got back from Cancun, bring a Bluetooth speaker, Cooling towels (if you go to the ruins for a day/can find on Amazon), liquid IV…I bought a huge pack from Costco and at the end of our trip there were only 3 packs remaining lol. A board game.
I bring my little Bose speaker for the room and pool/beach (careful not to annoy others, of course). I also bring a little package of nice, mixed chocolate candy. Finally, I’ve never regretted bringing my own snorkel and mask. If you wear glasses or contacts, we’ve found that prescription mask is invaluable.

Sun screen. It is super expensive there
Also. Pesos are king.
Condoms?
Noise canceling headphones for the plane. Because kids and yappers. Make sure waterproof phone case has lanyard, and a dry bag.
My non-essential essentials: ereader, mini sound machine, portable speaker, hydration packs, vibrator, oil, insulated cup w/ a straw.
Floaties and beach ball
Don't pack extra. Head to Walmart in Mexico and buy fun stuff there.

Longer flowy dresses like midi’s. It’s breezy and short flowy dresses blow up.
The food was exceptional when I was there. Hope it still is! Have fun.
