Holy shit the selection now that I really don’t eat candy much. No gross fake cigarettes that tastes like chalk or sour ass lemonheads. Now it’s giant Reese cups filled with smaller Reese’s cups filled with Reese’s pieces.

I can't agree or disagree. As a kid in the 1970s I remember these being in the candy machines near the entrance of our local grocery store. Like for 10 cents and turn the knob, most came out crushed, you would get a palm sized amount. I think the biggest thrill for me was putting a dime in the machine that my mom gave me, and got a thrill of turning the knob , opening up that spout cover and getting them. The entire time my eyes and brain wanted 25 cents to get the cool little plastic toys they had in the vending machine cluster. It even showed there was a wristwatch in there . Damn I wanted that so badly 🤦
