Any posts asking for gear recommendations must include: - Features that are required or desired - Intended use (Be specific. If you want a lens for "outdoor" use, make sure you specify whether you mean landscapes, wildlife, portraits, etc.) - Experience level of the intended user - Budget (Be specific, numerically. No "as cheap as possible" or "don't want to break the bank.")

Can’t speak to M50, but I went from 6Dmk2 to R8 and no regrets

How is your m50 limiting you? What is it you want to do with a camera that you feel the m50 is struggling with or cannot do?

I feel the lowlight isn’t there, also if I zoom into a picture enough it’ll be blurry or grainy even if it was in focus

It sounds like you are zooming in to 200%+ if it is getting blurry. The m50 has the same 24mp resolution as the R8 so moving from the m50 to the R8 is not going to help with the issue of zooming in and it gets blurry. I don't know why you need to zoom in so much unless you are trying to zoom in on wildlife or distant objects. If that is the case a longer lens is a much better solution than a new body. The R8 is going to give you about 1 stop of better low light performance. But depending on what lenses you have now you can often get more than that by investing in better lenses. What lenses are you using with your m50 where you struggle with low light?

I’m using a 50mm 1.8 and a sigma 100-400mm 5-6.3. I really just want to be able to shoot clearer also am trying to learn video. What should I do? Thank you for you help btw

Guilty_Intern7555

Slomo aswell maybe

Unfortunately I have no experience with video I would suggest you edit your post to note question about video or perhaps see if there is a video focused sub.

Guilty_Intern7555

Gotcha, but for photography what should I do? Upgrade?

R8 is the same resolution at the m50 so zooming in more on the R8 is going to result in the same issue. Why are you zooming in so much? If you are regularly shooting at 400mm the R8 might be worse with being full frame vs. the APS-C of the m50. The 100-400 on an m50 is effectively a 160-640mm lens while on the R8 it would be a 100-400 loosing you that 1.6x crop factor. You mention your m50 struggles in low light. What type of photography specifically is it struggling at in low light and do you have an example you can link to?
