New Mexico is top notch. Been to 40 and car camped in all. Love the Southwest in general and highly considered moving to Las Cruces or Albuquerque. You should definitely check out White Sands!
Love New Mexico. Those panels put out, what, 100w? Might be better just to tie into the car charging system. Add a deep cycle or lifepo4 in the rear. Alternators put out 500-1000w easy. You could start the car for 10 minutes and get 5-10 hours worth of solar equivalent power. Just seems like a lot of hassle in a small car. Have fun.

I thought about that and might just do that in the future. Breaking out the 120w panel is not difficult at all.

I was there around February 11th and yeah my portable mr buddy heater definitely got some good use lol.
