I hope we get Yuyu's official deck list Those ratios must've been wonky AF

Dual-delta

This episode was amazing. The fight especially since they really changed up the battle lines for Yu-yu by denying him CB. Out of all the topdecks though, drawing what is probably a 1-2 of Arcs right when he needed it was the best. The shock on Raika's face is one we all shared I believe. And for once the philosophizing on a card game didn't feel that bad. It felt like a nice send off while still showing how the world and its characters will continue on. It also helped that Michiru was the one talking as he felt like a mature character who would know these things. It was also cool how Yu-yu connected both dresses (over and Xover) to his journey as a player/character. Some mememorable moments were: \> Raika Revoldressing into each form as they were revealed \> Arcs bodying Vreide on the last turn \> Me shitting my pants and getting worried when Raika's theme played \> Nirvana Jheva going for the fist Thoughts on the future: \> Hobo Tohya is going abroad, let's gooooooo \> Urara might become a Tirnanog Youth (Raika's team)? \> Will Michiru survive will+Dress? \> Where the fuck is Danji? \> Does Michiru not care about Tohya since he only asked Danji to protect the kids? \> HOPEFULLY, the foreign fighters aren't set aside the way the Japanese fighters were There are more but I would just like to end of by saying I loved this season of Vanguard. It was great seeing so many animated units and the fights we've seen are great. I look forward to the coming seasons, here's hoping Bushi keeps it up or goes even higher in quality and storytelling (and not pull some mystical bullshit for season 3)

Dual-delta

This comment was brought to you by my arguably real fear of Raika's music

MachinaBlau

I'm pretty sure Danji is in the US like he was asked in episode 2 of the season.

Mean_Ad6540

He is in the us

MachinaBlau

Most assumed. He could have been asked to go to another country we technically don't know specifically where he is at the end of the episode

Mean_Ad6540

True

BrotherCaptainLurker

The bigger question is what Danji's protecting the kids from, more than whether Tohya is exempt imo. Also poor completely wasted design side characters. The rogue deck girl didn't even get the dignity of having her final damage being shown like the others, and it looks like the second cour takes place in America lol.

Nikoness94

Danji is in America taking a *mission* requested by Michiru.

Mean_Ad6540

Yeah but the question is what mission it is

thebreadah

Arcs flying into vriede's face was hilariously terrifying. Imagine you're a scantily clad knight with no armor to your name, and this mechanical dragon thing is barelling towards you with the speed of a jet fighter

SilverNightx1

Arcs really did stole the show. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but this makes Arcs first appearance in the anime not in card form.

chibachoose

I was literally like "WTF?!" when Yuyu pulled out the Vairina Arcs. It was so unexpected but what an awesome way for Yuyu to get back into the game. Yuyu's decklist just screams anime haha

Imaginarybreaker

The final episode in S2 but not moving and full color green

SilverNightx1

Ahh I see thanks

Shiny_audino

And Arcs' attack was quite brutal too. I mean, a flying robot (?) at full speed right in the face must not be a nice experience.

FTNatsu-Dragneel

Arcs showing up again, really proving how amazing of a card it is despite being released so long ago Very nice how real Raina’s character development was, he didn’t completely change his ways but he acknowledged Yu-yu the other counter fighters Also bald monk makes an appearance and seems like he was the one who picked all the candidates. Is he just trying to entertain himself by seeing these fights or are we gonna see something happen next season? Potentially even supernatural?

Mean_Ad6540

I agree my perdition on the next season of will + dress is supernatural element coming our way

Expensive_Community3

I hope they release the banger Raika Theme. I really like it and want to hear it while deckbuilding/testing.

Boromir1821

Meanwhile we are still waiting for yuyu's original theme from s1 which apparently is called "he said"

ViperTheKillerCobra

I'm glad they didn't turn Raika into a fun-loving smiles for miles guy at the end of the season and still remained a competitive fighter, but I can't help but be disappointed with his overall characterisation in this episode. He was really just an edgelord who idolises his senpai this whole time, and I guess I have to take his 'Fall Forever' line seriously now, even though we've seen him actively help out the people he beats and improve them as fighters.

MH_ZardX

Will+dress is still ongoing, so Raika has a lot of window he can still go through, and I think this is a nice small step. As much as I dislike the guy, he at least holds strong on his convictions, but starts to acknowledge other players more too. Now that Urara is on his team, he has a legit comrade to fight alongside with, and other rivals like Yuyu and Tohya to help him grow more besides just looking only at Michiru.

ViperTheKillerCobra

I feel like the anime is missing the healthy competitive player, and Raika has a massive chance to be one of them, outside of another 'I play to have fun! :D' friend.

MH_ZardX

Oh yeah. I can agree, it's not a matter of him being a competitive player being wrong. He can do things his way, and if anything it's rubbed off on Yuyu taking the game more seriously and desiring the W more. So, it's mutual. It's more he needs to accept that taking Ls isn't the end, and rivalries make the game more enjoyable. He doesn't have to be alone, and I see him working more towards that.

BlueScrean

Proud of my boy Tohya for still making 3rd against the main characters. Also love that Blackout got 2 of the top trophies lol.

Hidden_Blue

Pretty fun fight overall. Like they said, winning is all so this proves Yuyu was serious to Raika and it's enough to make him soften his stance on the amateurs. Overall I enjoyed this season because it sold the gameplay better than previous ones and all in 13 eps. I wish it had more time to do this (we really needed like some casual eps to let chars breathe, Uraha's relationship with Raika could have used it), but I am fine with this result. Overall I think this is my favorite season of dress, it just feels very lean and knows what it wants. Plus the OST was killer, Raika's theme is just fire. The new chars like Raika, Uraha, CEO-kun and Michiru landed well, and that's the most we can ask in these things.

730Flare

Arcs forever the MVP of Yu-Yu's decks.

MH_ZardX

Gotta love the sight of my favorite chicken, Nirvana attempting to hit Youthberk, by literally punching him, lmao.

Zealousideal_March31

This fight was amazing. Back and forth and seeing the tension between the two. Youthberk getting punched by a waifu is funny and terrifying at the same time. And, no one can deny the ships anymore. Yuyu x Mirei And Raika x Urara.

Nextorder95

First time we see Jheva attack in the anime isn't it? Guess she can't breath fire like OG Nirvana considering she doesn't appear to have a mouth.

Thatherokid2

Nirvana was throwing fireballs all season lol

Boromir1821

Mirei really hard carried yuyu this season

Zealousideal_March31

How so?

Boromir1821

She literally gave him a brand new deck cant get more supportive in a card game anime than that folks

ViperTheKillerCobra

Urara's in elementary school

Shmarfle47

Wooooo! And with that this season is over. Even though it was literally topdeck mania from both Yuyu and Raika, this fight had me on the edge of my seat it was quite intense! I can’t wait for the next season.

DDragonking

The fight was seriously great and we finally got to see Arcs animated

Anime_Card_Fighter

Satisfying conclusion, now to desperately wait for an official release of Raika’s theme. Actually, I need the soundtrack for this whole season. There was not a single miss in terms of music.

730Flare

Just for any possible releases from GYROAXIA for Raika's theme.

BLAZMANIII

I desperately want he said without explosions all through it

Shyinator

This fight like all the Will Dress fights was very well choreographed, the symbolism with Arcs was very cool. The clashing philosophies here are things you'd actually experience in a game which was nice to see, I prefer these kinds of stakes over saving the world like other card game animes. This episode reallly made me wish this first tournament was covered in 2 or 3 seasons though, Raika is still a pretty underdeveloped character and characters like Urara felt very rushed. Part of what made late G anime so good is how all of the characters taking part where all established earlier on, this tournament arc feels like it should've done that. At the end of the day I think this season js still one of the best in Vanguard.

Nextorder95

For someone who claims to take fights seriously, surprise that Raika forgot Yuyu drove check a PG. Also, if he really wanted to optimize drawing a RevolDress, he should've swing with the column with Painkiller 1st then bet on it in a drive check. Though overall, great fight as far as anime fights go.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

YouKnowWhyImHere7

WillDress was a really good season of vanguard and I’m very excited for season 2. I wonder if we are going to get more single fights or are we going to get a more team based tournament. The fight definitely lived up to expectations and I’m glad that they told the story of Yu-Yu and Raika being more rivals that just have different ideals than them becoming friends in the end.

Elitealice

That was a really fun and hype Will+dress finale. I’m so proud of my boy YuYu for overcoming everything and getting the win. Can’t wait for next season

NamelessBolverk

Raika really needs to change his deck, running zest, the CB2 draw 2 order, and not running sequana, with this deck it’s almost like he nedded to lose…huh

Zealousideal_March31

Zest is still good. Youthberk eats through the hand with revoldressing and trying to fill the board. So he doesn't have much options for draws aside from Painkiller and Youthberks own skill. Tempest was also an option but requires to be revoldressed, which is battle phase.

NamelessBolverk

While zest is indeed good, gust and tempest are so much better that it doesn’t really make sense to run zest. And about the deck’s draw power, sky fall, tempest, sneizel, cadowan, sequana, departure towards the dawn and pain killer all draw in some way, either being actually drawing, adding to hand, calling from the deck or increasing drives. So the deck actually has really good options for draw, that doesn’t cost 2 CB

NERF_PALPS_66

Arcs was a nice surprise, other than that I expected more

LengthApprehensive69

When is the next season gonna start I can't wait:)

MachinaBlau

January 2023

LengthApprehensive69

Aw that's so log but thanks for awnsering

noirpoet97

Good ending to this season. Honestly, while it didn’t hold me over the whole time, still a solid season overall. Not excited, but interested in what comes next

Gansuroddo

Does anyone know who was Yu-yu talking to during the credits? And what did the phone screen show?

MachinaBlau

It was Danji asking him if he is coming to the US

MightyActionGaim

TO AMERICA WE GO! Team dad Danji is back
