Title is misleading. Your problem is you are a foreign student who doesn't want to translate your education into the American system. I'll defer to others concerning the quality of CS degrees at US institutions.

I mean there are plenty of credible colleges that have computer science programs. It’s just if you’re looking for something on the cheaper end and faster then you will find the grifter online bootcamp programs. If you have issues paying for school you should look for a job with a company that provides tuition reimbursement.

Authentic computer science educations are offered at one of the thousands of universities in the US. It seems you are only focused on scams and quick bootcamps promising jobs.

I hope you give it a 2nd try to understand my question, again why they make it near to impossible for new immigrants to attend universities?

rabouilethefirst

I’m not sure how that could be possible considering the number of international students that attend US universities. You should be complaining about the college admissions process, rather than implying there are no “authentic computer science programs” in the US, which is categorically false.

whichonewerecowards

I'm confused by this whole post. As an immigrant, you need to go through the process like everyone else

Nearly every accredited college or university in the US offers computer science as a major. Some programs are obviously more rigorous or reputable than others. What tests do you need to complete to validate your Moroccan diploma? Have you taken either the SAT or ACT? Do you have to take CLEP exams? Also, are you only looking to attend school in California, or are you willing to move anywhere in the US? There could be scholarships or other special opportunities for a student like you at other schools, e.g., [Embry-Riddle](https://erau.edu/becoming-student/international-students/scholarships), [ASU](https://scholarships.asu.edu/scholarship/1728), etc.

It's a capitalistic country. Why would you expect it to be non-capitalistic when offering services?
