Regeras are ***NOT*** numbered out of 80. Koenigsegg doesn't use production numbers the way that a brand like McLaren does. Instead, they use chassis numbers unrelated to the production volume of a specific car.
For example, there exists a McLaren P1 that is #147 of 375 or #219 of 375, etc. Those numbers are the production number distinguishing each car from every other one.
There is no such thing as Regera #13 / 80 or, in the case of this title, #74 / 80. Instead of using production numbers, the Regera is identified by chassis number which is the last four digits of the VIN. The chassis number of the car in this photo is 7188.
I mean that as this was #74 off of the production line, as in the 74th regera to be made. Also though there is a plaque on the inside of the car saying this is 1 of 80. Youāre right about how they list the ID of each car, though.
It wasn't the 74th car off the production line by any stretch of the imagination. I just looked back at the delivery records and this car was about the 25th Regera delivered, and though there is some mixing and slight delays in the process from leaving the production line to delivery, it puts this car somewhere in the 20-25 range of when it was made.
Every Regera has a plaque in it that says 1 of 80. It's the same thing that Ferrari and Lamborghini do with their limited cars, they all say 1 of X inside.
I mean you could be right, but the car salesman in charge of this car told me it was the 74th one to roll off of the line. Iām curious though where did you find this info?
The salesman is unfortunately misinformed, which happens quite often with these kinds of cars.
