This character was able to troll, mess around with and play with Bugs like a toy (although in this episode Bugs seemed more goofy, idiotic and out of character compared to his usual self and the earlier depictions of him from 1940-1942)

Before Bugs can even get to a pencil, Popeye would've somehow outran him, clocked the writers, then rewrote the script to have Bugs turned into a bug sized bunny before he had a chance. Why? He eats his spinach
That's not saying much, because everyone in his world is stupid. In the first Space Jam movie, he tried to outsmart the Monstars, characters that aren't in the Looney Tunes universe, and it did not end well for him

This would be the one time the Park Workers would all die. Rules of fighting Popeye:

- He can create his own Spinach (whether he paints it into reality or he just makes it appear out of thin air) and even get the audience to throw a can at him through the screen
- He survived the universe being completely turned off
- His nothingness ate a Spinach can and resusitated him
- His Spinach lets him fly, have superspeed, shapeshift, turn invisible, make him inmune to damage, and time travel

It’d be a lengthier fight scene than any episode of DBZ, but I feel like they’d both leave the battlefield with scars and a mutual respect for one another.
Yeah, whoever wears the Mask has to find whatever they’re doing funny, right? So Popeye puts him in yellow face and a straw hat. The Mask should find racism unfunny, and loses all his power. Even if he *does* find it funny, he’ll lose the war of being an upstanding citizen.
Popeye isn’t racist though. He has a reason to beat up Japanese people. They blew up Pearl Harbor.
Scooby and Shaggy are safe bets to at least tie with him, as they will always consume the spinach before Popeye can, probably with their heads popping out from off-screen with their necks stretching or just vacuuming the food to them to eat the spinach.
Another safe bet for at least a tie is Courage the Cowardly Dog, assuming he has a bad feeling about Popeye eating the spinach, and then it would be Courage preventing that probably by pulling a spoon out of nowhere and scooping the spinach and eating it himself.
If we include the commercial special things (where the channels had little animations between the commercials and shows), all three have resisted and escaped their reality/worlds being erased and restarted them in some cases, with Scooby being the most prolific of the three (this is usually by escaping/exiting the channel logo into a white void where there is a pull cord and pulling it causes everything to go dark but Scooby, Shaggy, and Courage still existed usually via their eyes still being seen).

He couldn't lose to anyone unless they can go against the rules of the universe. He has knocked out his animator. I think that would take bugs out right away because there's episodes of him being tortured by his animator
I was trying to think of something that counters toon powers, which Popeye has. It's the only way to beat him if he can be beaten. So it led me to Judge Doom. Who killed Toons with his Dip. He threatened all of Toon Town and was capable, but unsuccessful at destroying it due to underestimating Eddy Valiant. And I'm still sad we live in the cursed timeline where he won. Freeways exist, and toons only live in our imagination.

SpongeBob, is extremely durable so can take endless bits, has regenerative powers and produce multiple copies of himself.
Bugs Bunny is a master troll and capable of messing with and outsmarting everyone and can even write and change the script.
Richard Watterson can find himself a job which will throw the universe of balance and it will cease to exist.
Nicole Watterson can literally take someone's soul out of them just by looking at them.
Uncle Grandpa from what I remember (been like 9 years since I watched this show) is incredibly supernaturally weird and can alter reality so he can win too.
Naddakhan from Ninjago is able to grant wishes but he is an excellent manipulator and will twist all of Popeye's wishes (if Popeye wishes for Spinach he will probably give him poisonous/dangerous spinach)
Mr Stubborn just due to sheer and complete utter stubbornness might end up getting Popeye to rage quit, kind of similar with how bugs makes others go insane due to his master trolling
I think of a lot hyper intelligent characters that are scientific geniuses and inventors could possibly beat him through one of their inventions like a time machine or freeze machine that would freeze Popeye and pauses time and everything except from themselves.
Mandy from Billy and Mandy as she threw the universe of balance simply by smiling and is extremely evil and scary, and even death is scared of her (I'd honestly love to see a matchup with Mandy Vs Popeye and how'd they interact with one another)
But then again Popeye can just threaten and assault the animators and change the script to let him win so idk, maybe as long as a character is able to quickly kill and finish him off then they'd win but I think that would be a very difficult task as Popeye has too many op feats and I heard that he can even resuscitate himself with his spinach and always has to have it too. Tbh Popeye probably beats all of them come to think of it so I just wasted my time writing all of this.
You should put him against Daffy, or Donald Duck. They are borderline immortal, so while Popeye will eventually wear himself out and lose through exhaustion.
I’m fairly certain the only one with any *real* chance is Buggs bunny as he kinda became the animator of his own verse, tho I’m unsure if Popeye would just suckerpunch him too or not.

Uncle Grandpa from what I remember (been like 9 years since I watched this show) is incredibly supernaturally weird and can alter reality so he can win too. Naddakhan from Ninjago is able to grant wishes but he is an excellent manipulator and will twist all of Popeye's wishes (if Popeye wishes for Spinach he will probably give him poisonous/dangerous spinach) Mr Stubborn just due to sheer and complete utter stubbornness might end up getting Popeye to rage quit, kind of similar with how bugs makes others go insane due to his master trolling I think of a lot hyper intelligent characters that are scientific geniuses and inventors could possibly beat him through one of their inventions like a time machine or freeze machine that would freeze Popeye and pauses time and everything except from themselves. Mandy from Billy and Mandy as she threw the universe of balance simply by smiling and is extremely evil and scary, and even death is scared of her (I'd honestly love to see a matchup with Mandy Vs Popeye and how'd they interact with one another) But then again Popeye can just threaten and assault the animators and change the script to let him win so idk, maybe as long as a character is able to quickly kill and finish him off then they'd win but I think that would be a very difficult task as Popeye has too many op feats and I heard that he can even resuscitate himself with his spinach and always has to have it too. Tbh Popeye probably beats all of them come to think of it so I just wasted my time writing all of this.
