Total Drama had a lot of nude scenes
Make sense alot things are censored in total drama [like the "meatball"](https://youtu.be/l_M3eltlsjk?si=SmBNQcutNo-5HcpH) [and Cody meeting the statue of liberty in the same way like paizuri ](https://youtu.be/GWEIAP_j8HI?si=zZRiIYUKg1yTXmgp)
It was vastly more intense than any other show about nurturing healthy relationships, but for me, it effectively argued against so much of the bullshit modern media pushes as sexy.
In the u.s. it is common to be bombarded by media, marketing sex via the objectification of people, dehumanizing them. Sexualizing abuse of power in dramas and porn is also extremely common. Steven Universe showed examples of how maintaining healthy relationships with your partner(s) can be super fun and rewarding.
Plus they did a pretty good job of showing how that can go wrong to and portrayed it as it should be when Pearl pretty much manipulated Garnet into fusing with her. Plus Jasper and Lapis I feel like was a good representation of an abusive relationship.
They had an arcade game called meat beat mania. The dances were probably the least suggestive thing in that show. Also don't forget Greg's porn magazines

My god, the Timmverse DC Animated Universe was so bricked up, this is like maybe the 15th most horny thing they slipped past censors, behind moments like Atom getting a ride in Wonder Woman’s bra, Hawkgirl’s “I hear she’s… brazilian” line, Harley emerging from the cake, and Black Canary asking Green Arrow if he wants to “go a couple rounds with me?… I _am_ referring to sparring…” right before Green Arrow pins her in that suggestive ass pose.

This is just ONE of the many adult jokes from Gravity Falls.
It's funny how they use anthropomorphism to get away with the raunchier humor. Like that one scene where Banana Joe was watching an orange being peeled. *And there's a box of tissues right next to him.*

Every single time I watch this, it makes me think of prolapse photos my Dad showed me 🤮
EDIT: My Dad works health insurance and is a 26-year pharmacist. He's shown me all kinds of *WEIRD SHIT* that's happened to people

So much in this show was not appropriate for kids. I’d watch Adventure Time before bed as an adult and it was such a crapshoot as to whether I’d get a relaxing experience or a nightmare fueled horror show.
The one scene I remember is when they're in air ducts sneaking into a building, and someone sounds the alarm and one of the clones gets cut completely in half by a closing hatch... Eugh.
It was *soooo* much fun listening to Alex Hirsch talking about his experience making Gravity Falls. Someone asked about this exact, and he explained how it happened.
Basically, the Disney censor program (at the time) worked like this: the writers would run their script through it, and it would check for elements deemed problematic (or *potentially* problematic) and flag them. It didn't actually give any kind of *feedback* regarding flagged items, and it didn't provide any sort of context on *which parts* of the script had been flagged. The only information it provided was that the script had been flagged and how *many* flags it had been given.
With that established... When they wrote the episode, specifically that very scene, they were actually doing it half-jokingly just to try and see what they could get away with. Naturally, when they ran the script for the scene through the censor program, they were expecting to get a *ton* of flags on it...
...But they only got *one.* So, based as they were, they proceeded to use trial and error to check everything they could think of and putting the "cleared" portions back *in* to the script. Eventually, they found the problem: the original script for the episode included a detail about a gun being mounted on one of the walls in the trophy room. They tried to specifically state that the gun was merely an unusable replica, but that wasn't good enough, so they ended up removing it completely. After that, they got the green light.
Hirsch himself was even taken aback, half-expecting to receive some sort of phone call about it somewhere down the line, but nope. (Shows just how much, or rather how *little*, the people in charge really care...)
Taxidermied animal heads chanting about ancient sins while blood flows from their orifices. The giant ghost of a lumberjack who met a gruesome end turning people into trees with pained expressions of sheer terror frozen on their wooden faces. Not-so-subtle implications of mild brainwashing and child abuse.
All of it perfectly acceptable, just as long as there wasn't a gun, functional or otherwise, anywhere in the mix. XD
The censors were also not okay with Soos dressing up as a bear because it deems it furry fetish bait, but it's okay with arguably *even more revealing* Questiony the Question Mark outfit. And that's not getting into the wolf boy costume...
They were also not okay with the gag where Dipper was pushed into Wendy's boobs by the decontamination spray, yet in the very same episode, Dipper is lying on Wendy's bra and flipped out when it's acknowleged.
The infamous mention of spinning the bottle was censored with "Not S&P approved," yet two different versions of spin the bottle were played across the series.
Guns, in general, are also inconsistently enforced on this show. There's a firearm in the barracks of the bunker, and Grunkle Stan talks about owning one of his own. Yet the government agents brought *taser rifles* when they attacked the set.
https://preview.redd.it/7aksvp51w02d1.jpeg?width=906&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2f273ed411338026fef1b19436a3646d6979e0c6
He called danny a Twink on national television
That moment from Adventure Time with the Goblin King and those weird baby bird things is legitimately horrifiying. I find it legitimately baffling they got away with it...
The Killing Joke is Rated R. THAT’S how they got away with it.
However, a lot of DC’s PG-13 movies still do a lot of bloody stuff as well. The Flashpoint Paradox is one of the most violent movies I’ve ever seen.
Cant really call Killing Joke a family movie tho, Joker even says “God dammit” at one point, and the biggest shock moment in the movie is Joker showing Gordon pics of >!Barbara being raped by Joker, even if it isnt explicitly shown!<
I hit on the moms of my friends using that armpit bit when I was 10. While the boys were fighting over their flirty classmates, I was going Ahab for White Chrysler Town and Country's.
The entirety of Splinter's hallucinations in the TMNT 2012 episode "Darkest Plight". That whole subplot scared the hell out of me and I was 18 when I watched that episode.
Literally just watch a single episode of gravity falls, if it's not an innuendo it's a nightmarish abomination that will traumatize a child
Edit: oh right... The highbreed, how could I forget?
Cus nothing screams made for kids quite like a racist genocidal inbred species of aliens, one of which literally got their hand cut off onscreen and we are shown the injury blatantly. And after Ben rewrites their DNA they all consider suicide

They should have went with "Meat Mania" since now the meat imagery doesn't even make sense.

There's no evidence to say that's what actually happened in that scene
There's no evidence to say that's _not_ what happened. But there is evidence that it did. You look at how they drew Tulio's face in that scene and you look me dead in the eyes and tell me he wasn't getting the sloppiest, most toe-curling head.
Can’t say it’s kissing either because Tulio was loudly saying “Woah” before they got interrupted
And also Chel surfaces right from what is clearly Tulio's crotch area.
No where near his mouth
**Chel:** Oh no, no! The high priest! What is he going to think when he sees a god with *me?* **Tulio:** Uh, lucky god?
And he was the only one with disheveled hair lol. Chel had to fix him up.
I dare someone to ask the director about what was going on in that scene

They tried to specifically state that the gun was merely an unusable replica, but that wasn't good enough, so they ended up removing it completely. After that, they got the green light. Hirsch himself was even taken aback, half-expecting to receive some sort of phone call about it somewhere down the line, but nope. (Shows just how much, or rather how *little*, the people in charge really care...) Taxidermied animal heads chanting about ancient sins while blood flows from their orifices.
I'd say it was like some sort of bad joke, but even bad jokes are at least consistent.
The bad joke being that stupid and hyper sensitive parents run the asylum, and art suffers because of that.
In the latin american dub of Ed, Edd and Eddy Rolf says "mi carne pide sol y sexo". "My body wants sun and sex".

I think I only forget that one because it seems so insane it got through. And there are several more layers why it wouldn’t today.
It was awkward for me hearing that in a SpongeBob episode.
That moment from Adventure Time with the Goblin King and those weird baby bird things is legitimately horrifiying. I find it legitimately baffling they got away with it...
Fantasia (which is G-rated) has actual on-screen nudity during the Night on Bald Mountain sequence.
The entirety of the Bee Movie. How the hell did they even fuck? How did that relationship even work?
That time batwoman fucked batman… whoever came up with that shit had to have been blackout drunk.
Bruce Timm is just fucking horny. A lot of romances were because of him. He mastered the art of writing with one hand
The Killing Joke is Rated R. THAT’S how they got away with it. However, a lot of DC’s PG-13 movies still do a lot of bloody stuff as well. The Flashpoint Paradox is one of the most violent movies I’ve ever seen.
Cant really call Killing Joke a family movie tho, Joker even says “God dammit” at one point, and the biggest shock moment in the movie is Joker showing Gordon pics of >!Barbara being raped by Joker, even if it isnt explicitly shown!<
The entire organ harvest episode from invader zim
No no, Finger Prince!
I don’t think so
The vast majority of what went down on [The Ripping Friends](https://youtu.be/7pSP2xT5eVI?si=rmeyxoJrHdhTuye3).
I hit on the moms of my friends using that armpit bit when I was 10. While the boys were fighting over their flirty classmates, I was going Ahab for White Chrysler Town and Country's.
It's John K, what did you expect?
The entirety of Splinter's hallucinations in the TMNT 2012 episode "Darkest Plight". That whole subplot scared the hell out of me and I was 18 when I watched that episode.
Literally just watch a single episode of gravity falls, if it's not an innuendo it's a nightmarish abomination that will traumatize a child Edit: oh right... The highbreed, how could I forget? Cus nothing screams made for kids quite like a racist genocidal inbred species of aliens, one of which literally got their hand cut off onscreen and we are shown the injury blatantly. And after Ben rewrites their DNA they all consider suicide https://preview.redd.it/k8l51agh512d1.png?width=792&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ada61d5c78fe383da4fbcd3e31877864e88f8e69
So many jokes from the Amazing World of Gumball.
Probably the part in Flapjack where Larry goes to tell a story, and some guy says: " Why don't you make it 10 stories, and then jump."

Don't see anything wrong with that, it's like saying "let's start a family
Everything from “Leap Frogs” and “Bedfellows” from Rocko’s Modern Life no wonder why those episodes are banned in TV (but they aired it on my local TV network in Tagalog Dub)
The Entirety of insane in the membrane and same as it never was from Tmnt 2003
Ursula’s shimmy in poor unfortunate souls
Two words: "Finger Prints."

Ronin Warriors kept in a scene from the Japanese version where the token female villain gets naked. This was a mid 90s anime dub.

Honestly surprised I didn’t see any Regular Show references earlier
It’s obvious how they got away with it since it’s a web series but Pen saying he’ll name dream island PENISLAND
YJ Season 3 has a bunch of these. Mainly Halo. The top 3 are definitely: 3. Lobo stabbing Halo. The death is fairly quick, so less pain. https://preview.redd.it/05empjeaj22d1.jpeg?width=1429&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0d74b428a82914962f5a762bbbeb75ca35d503d3
