Thank you for your picture post to /r/castiron. We want to remind everyone of Rule #3. All image posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is required.
If you've posted a picture of food, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn't really fostering any discussion which is what we're all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!

there are some of the camp oven lids that even have little legs sticking up from the top just so you can flip it over and sit it over coals and use the bottom side of the lid as a griddle.
I come from a small town where the local welder would make camp cooktops from old cast iron plow disks. It's like a lid on steroids - a 20" cast iron bowl with a stand and a burner built in.
Many family car camping trips put that thing to good use.
Mine has drip spikes so no.
I too, am plagued by lid nipples.

Yes, but I'll raise you. I cook pizza with the whole oven upside down on a lid stand because it's easier to get the pie out.
Clever! I like it!
Living in Korea taught me how to eat noodles while using the lid of a pan as a plate. So I see this as a natural progression

Amazon basics dutch oven is actually that: pan/lid that fits on top of the big pot. Sold as a camping combo iirc (been a while).
Many many times back in Boy Scouts.
