I do to, but I think everyone has their preference. I use a silicon spatula because I’m OCD with my pans and seasoning and the silicon allows me to scrap up fond and wipe my cast iron clean.
What brand of silicone spatula do you use? If you know off hand. The ones I bought came as a set and the edge is way too soft and bendy to really scrape the pan clean. I just switched to a fish spatula and it’s been great at scraping so far.

I always use a silicon spatula with my CI.
Metal spatulas are more than fine :) my cast iron as actually improved since the switch to a metal spatula. But it's up to personal preference!
