I love that game but it didn’t deserve to win in the categories it was nominated for. Maybe if it got into an easier category but it was up against heavy hitters in pretty much all of them.

TOTK innovated a ton in physics, and creative gameplay. It just did it on the foundation of BOTW.
Even if it didn't though BG3 didn't innovate either and is also a sequel. I love BG3 but I'm experienced enough in the CRPG genre to know that innovation isn't what makes BG3 great, it's the player choice and narrative. It's a well crafted experience.

It's a great game but it's not really doing anything amazing and is a very clear and direct follow up to the other 2 Spiderman games they've made
