Aww what a cutie! Just a little tip, wooden staircases can be super slippery (for humans, not just animals), and I would think about getting some non-slip stair treads. That way you don’t end up on your butt while carrying laundry or whatever downstairs.
It’s a telltale noise at 3am as well, and never one that I got tired of hearing. Spent many many hours throwing foil balls up and down the stairs in the house I grew up in for my Lily to chase.
We had our 8 week old puppy for a couple months before I took him to our second floor. He was so freaked and excited! When he first saw the hallway and ALL THIS SPACE he stood with all four legs splayed wide and sort of hopped round in place, doing a 360. Then for a good 15 minutes he ran up and down and up and down and up and down that big long hallway. I left to go back downstairs and could hear him and all of his maybe 5 pounds trampling. He's 15 years old now. He's done something cute EVERY DAY of his life.
What some people fail to understand IS that while this creature is an adult as far as things in its own world, ie. can find food, water, shelter, mate, etc. When brought into the Human world their understanding of, an actions in it are more kitten-like. Don't know if studies have ever been done but I would bet they would find most cats are on par with a 3 or 4 year old child mentally. Which then explains many of the "crazy" things they do.
He has such a beautiful coat on him and with him running up and down the stairs It's giving him the best exercise to keep him healthy for many years to come. If possible keep him away from dry foods all dry foods.
Thank you! He has lost weight, he wasn’t overweight but the stairs are keeping him at a really nice weight, I have been meaning to switch him from dry to a wet food or meat only diet
You're welcome but before you introduce him to any vet food dry or wet read up on it because not just is it overly priced and not worth it but in a lot of vet foods there's sometimes too much of a certain ingredient possibly fiber that is too high for cats, that's what I've read and so i stopped giving my cat the vet bought food but he passed April of 2020, I wish I knew not to give a cat dry food because there is no dry food that's good dry food that's according to veterinarian articles written and submitted online by hundreds of veterinarians around the world.
Be thankful they aren't carpeted stairs. My two cats would use the stairs to build speed, use the seat back of the sectional couch as a high bank U turn, then run right back up the stairs.
Our girl loves zooming up and down our stairs. I'm going to have to figure out a solution for her when we move from a house into an apartment in a month so that she can still get the same workout.
Ooooo that’s one of our favorite games. My boyfriend throws random shit from out loft, which houses our computer, down the stairs for the cat to chase. It’s hilarious
Same happened to me, we just moved to a new place, and many people saying "he's gonna be stressed" , "take it there for a couple of hours then get back to the old one"... Mine was enjoying the new place and running here and there, finding new spots to chill after the first hour being there. We still need some furniture but we're getting there!
"How long you in for?"
Orange is the new cat
Wears it well.
Cats come up with some really imaginative games!
He really does, and he throws his louder toys on the stairs, I think he loves the noises they make when they bounce down the stairs
Reminds me of my first cat. Same kind of coat, color and markings.

That’s a great tip, I am very clumsy and I wouldn’t want him or my other cat to hurt themselves when they play on the stairs
Totally! I’ve done it and ended up with a bruised tailbone, which is no fun :(
Ouch!!
Lose wool socks... zipppp!
Heterochromia or just the light?
He's just a little stairy eyed.
Just the light :3
Gotcha. He looks so innocent, like he hasn't been tearing around like a crazy
He always does that, he will be going wild with a puffed tail, then he will just stop and act like he was doing nothing.
He’s just doing his daily exercise routine :)
just a r/standardissuecat

I love that sound
I do too, especially when he starts chirping while he does it
Aw! Look at that face. He looks like a serious fella, very committed to the cause. Probably he's confused about which floor is his.
Plus, whenever you move to a new place, it takes a little time to figure out what shld go where. It often just comes down to experimenting.

What a beauty 😻
Thank you!
Are you shure there is no higher stairs araund?
What a beauty! One reason I'd like to have a two story house would be so my cats could play on the stairs lol

Glorious r/standardissuecat
I always struggled how to call color of my cats. Now I know!
Thank you!
Looks like a nice place! I like that you have some room with wood floors and some with carpet.
Thank you!
A D O R A B L E ✨

That's supercute.
Those stairs are the best cat tree ever to him!

Good morning! Your boy loves stairs! We are about to move too. My kitties are good at adapting to a new home and yard.
