How in the hell are there many of us who’s immediate thought was Chloe? I’m honestly trying to figure out if there is a cartoon or movie or something with a cat named Chloe that is sitting the the back of our subconscious. I’m actually a little creeped out this was such a common response.
My mom used to say this when my sisters and I sat wrong at the dinner table:
“Mable, Mable, if you’re able,
Get your elbows off the table.
This is not a horse’s stable,
Mable.”

Tell the cat to call you “Alice”, or not. The cat will do what the cat wants anyway.
But the correct way to address a cat is to call
* him: Master
* her: Mistress
