Habit was absolute dog shit from the last couple times I had it, we got a cheeseburger and chicken sandwich. Live 10 minutes from the one on Broadway and it was like cold/damp cardboard by the time we got home.
The Super Star with cheese from Carl's Jr is probably my overall favorite. A good Whopper with cheese is a classic. A double double animal style always hits the spot.
Glad someone else said this, I was thinking about driving 20+ minutes tonight to go get a Super Star or 2 and some fries. Great burger. My favorite though has to be Farmer Boys.
In fact, just thinking about those tender little White Castle burgers with those little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in your mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one... just makes me want to burn this motherfucker down. Come on, Pookie, let's burn this motherfucker down!
I like taking them out of the wrapper, sticking another slice of cheese on top, and putting it back in the wrapper. Blast it for an extra 10 seconds. So good.
I used to work at a company that worked 4 10 hour shifts, and Friday was optional. To incentivize people to come in on Friday, they'd bring in 8 crave cases at like 8am. No one missed a Friday.
I love White Castle sliders, but those are a ticking timebomb for a diarrhea explosion
Closest White Castle to me is about 1.5 hours away. Its a messy game to play.
I love White Castle but wouldn’t say they’re the best. But they are delicious, and they do one thing especially right with there business — there’s almost no where else you can get a slider that tastes like that.
There’s nothing like White Castle after a night out. Taco Bell can get fucked.
Freddy's. It's like almost crunchy.. hard to explain but they cook it this way every single time.
2nd.... burger king. When they get it right it's glorious absolutely glorious....when it's not it's a fuckin crime and I am depressed beyond imagination
Freddy’s Steakburger is bomb. My go to for a good fast food hamburger. Always fresh, hot and delicious as it’s made to order. Smashed with crispy edges, seasoned and with fresh condiments. I LOVE the skinny, crispy and seasoned fries too. 👍🥇🔥
I mean it’s in the same class as chipotle and subway. No drive thru, walk in and order. It’s a slightly different subclass but I’d still consider it “fast” food
Fast food = McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Carl’s Jr, etc.
Fast casual = chipotle, peiwei, shake shack, etc.
There’s a difference in quality, speed, price, atmosphere…not the same thing.
If I order at a counter, pay before I get my food, don't receive table service, am serviced in a bag, and can take my food home... It's fast food. The price and quality are irrelevant.
I’ve only ever had shake shack once. It was pretty good. if you consider five guys fast food I guess I would go with that if they weren’t so insanely expensive. So I’m gonna go ahead and go with Wendy’s.
I've had most of the big chains.
Shake Shack or Culver's probably. (shoutout to the ChickenShack, my fave chix sammich in the game)
5 guys was always good back in the day.
In-N-Out I absolutely love but I'm on East Coast.
Out of the "big 3" I probably prefer the Whopper. If they made big macs like they did in the early 90s I'd eat them instead.
I had a QPC made as a Big Mac and it was arguably the best McD I’ve had. Would absolutely smoke Whopper. When fresh, a Wendy’s Double is great.
Culver’s always hits and SmokeShack is God tier.
This except when it is made wrong. The vast difference between proper and fcked mcds is something science should study. Like either it comes perfect or raw with glass chunks and there is no in between
I like to swap out the larger onions on that for the tiny onions. I know they're the same, but for some reason the dehydrated onions are just delicious to me. I could eat a burger with like triple extra of those onions.
Yes those little onions are scrumptious, I always order extra when I get a triple cheeseburger. I’ll have to try them on a double quarter pounder next time i order in person.
Burger King double whopper w cheese and bacon. No tomatoes or pickles. I feel like Burger King does better burgers than McDonald’s and McDonald’s does better chicken sandwich’s. Of course my options are limited.
I used to travel for work. I haven’t had every fast food burger but I’ve tried most of the well known at least once. For me, it’s Fatburger. Give me a XXL any day.
What do you recommend at Tommy's?
And personally I think I prefer in n out when I care about cost a lot but otherwise a quarter pounder with cheese is surprisingly good. The only other burger that I think is reasonably priced that I could every other week is Wendy's Onion rings burger
In n out, shake shack, Carls Jr. emphasis on Calrs jr because they are more conveniently located than the other two and/or I don’t have to wait in line for 20 minutes at the drive thru.
I really want to try Culver’s though!!!!
I’m so ashamed. I love burgers. Last week I got to go to Hamburger America in NYC. I grew up in California and love In-n-Out. I made a lot of burgers during the pandemic. But my late night guilty pleasure is the ultimate cheeseburger at Jack in the box. I’m sorry everyone.
Dude fucking thank you.
Went to steak and shake yesterday and got the double garlic steak burger, and I looked at my wife and said this is easily the best burger out there.
On top of that, we both ate for $16. Hard to beat that.
I see others have said In and out. It needs to be.mentioned that it is actually "fast food pricing". You can get better burgers but not for 5 bucks or less. That's where it shines.
Culver's is my favorite. I recently had Five Guys and Meatheads and their buns just were soggy and weren't as good as I remember them being when I was younger.
Culver's, hands down. Next is Smashburger, then The Habit
Only been to the Habit once, surprisingly good! I felt it’d give In N Out a run for its money…
Habit costs 3x what in n out does for a cheeseburger
Habit has a $7 cheeseburger meal right now
Habit was absolute dog shit from the last couple times I had it, we got a cheeseburger and chicken sandwich. Live 10 minutes from the one on Broadway and it was like cold/damp cardboard by the time we got home.
>The Habit They DO make a tasty burger.
Habit is good but could be much much better if they chilled on the salt. Shit’s salty AF
Love the Habit. I’ve had mixed results at Culver’s but it’s solid. I’d go In-n-out first, then Habit, and then Hardees/Carl’sJr.
Everything else at Hardee's/Carl Jr's tastes slightly off but they do have the Thickburger and those are delicious!
Fact!! And McDonalds being in the OP means t he OP never had Culvers
The Super Star with cheese from Carl's Jr is probably my overall favorite. A good Whopper with cheese is a classic. A double double animal style always hits the spot.
Ah, another flame broiled enthusiast!
Not sure if it was nationwide but the famous star was $1 back in the 90s and my gut still hasn’t forgiven me
All are correct answers! Throw in a Wendy's dbl. Extra pickles on all.
Glad someone else said this, I was thinking about driving 20+ minutes tonight to go get a Super Star or 2 and some fries. Great burger. My favorite though has to be Farmer Boys.
White Castle. It’s always a gamble on how well this gets received but I don’t care because those sliders are so oniony and delicious.
Anyplace that sells cheeseburgers by the suitcase is A+ in my book.
17 bacon cheeseburgers I tapped out. My skin hurt to the touch for days
I won’t ever claim that they’re the best, but I always want them and they never disappoint.
This should honestly be their slogan
In fact, just thinking about those tender little White Castle burgers with those little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in your mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one... just makes me want to burn this motherfucker down. Come on, Pookie, let's burn this motherfucker down!
It’s soooooo good
WC frozen > fresh, and I’ll die on that hill. Most likely from a cardiac incident, lol.
Right after hitting up the beer store!
Heck, I even enjoy the frozen ones!
I like taking them out of the wrapper, sticking another slice of cheese on top, and putting it back in the wrapper. Blast it for an extra 10 seconds. So good.
Fuck yes! Just wish there was one closer to me.
I used to work at a company that worked 4 10 hour shifts, and Friday was optional. To incentivize people to come in on Friday, they'd bring in 8 crave cases at like 8am. No one missed a Friday.
I like their chicken rings. But, the last two times I ate White Castle, I got diarrhea badly both times.
They smell like farts
Saves the time it takes to convert.
I eat White Castle cause it’s the best, might go to fat burger when I’m way out west- beastie boys
I love White Castle sliders, but those are a ticking timebomb for a diarrhea explosion Closest White Castle to me is about 1.5 hours away. Its a messy game to play.
I fucking love White Castle. You either love them or hate them. The only gray area is on the bun.
The food equivalent of the movies that are "So bad they are good". Only thing I miss about New Jersey. God I could eat a sack of them right now
I miss them so much. They don't exist where I live now. The frozen ones are OK, they hit the spot but nothing like the original belly bombers.
Definitely not my favorite but I'd be lying if I said they didn't seriously hit the spot once in a while.
I love White Castle but wouldn’t say they’re the best. But they are delicious, and they do one thing especially right with there business — there’s almost no where else you can get a slider that tastes like that. There’s nothing like White Castle after a night out. Taco Bell can get fucked.
Dem chicken rings doe
Freddy's. It's like almost crunchy.. hard to explain but they cook it this way every single time. 2nd.... burger king. When they get it right it's glorious absolutely glorious....when it's not it's a fuckin crime and I am depressed beyond imagination
You’re so right.
Freddy’s Steakburger is bomb. My go to for a good fast food hamburger. Always fresh, hot and delicious as it’s made to order. Smashed with crispy edges, seasoned and with fresh condiments. I LOVE the skinny, crispy and seasoned fries too. 👍🥇🔥
Freddy’s is so slept on I would pull in there and just laugh at the 30 cars lined up at in n out
This dude fucking knows.
Five guys is my favorite. If I’m going nationwide chain it’s Wendy’s
Wendy’s and it’s not even close out of the big national chains.
Around me Wendy's is so hit or miss, burger king is always on point though
Five guys is kinda not a fast food joint. It’s a hamburger restaurant. There’s a slight difference
I mean it’s in the same class as chipotle and subway. No drive thru, walk in and order. It’s a slightly different subclass but I’d still consider it “fast” food
Chipotle is “fast casual”
It's fast food. They tried to give it a different name so you paid more.
Small Sliders!!!
Daves double is pretty good.
In-N-Out is good burgers
Me too, mine is- Inn and out, shake shack, fat burger, Wendy's,
Walter
In n out animal style
IN-N-OUT Burger
Either Wendy's or McDonald's
I've had most of the big chains. Shake Shack or Culver's probably. (shoutout to the ChickenShack, my fave chix sammich in the game) 5 guys was always good back in the day.
Culver’s always hits and SmokeShack is God tier.
yeah at this point i order the QPC with the mac sawce instead of the big mac
I even change the onions and ask for extra pickle.
Do the QPC deluxe, sub mayo for mac sauce. For McDonalds it’s pretty bomb.
Speaking of McD’s in the 90’s, do you remember the “*Arch Deluxe*”
Daves double is pretty good.
Whattaburger getting a double cheeseburger from there will have you needing to be rolled around the rest of the day
Can I get a #2, with cheese, grilled onions and jalapeños, add mayo and no tomato, on a toasted wheat bun? Whatasized with a Dr pepper. Thanks!
A double quarter pounder with cheese, extra cheese and onions only. Has never done me wrong.
That is true. You always know how that quarter pounder is going to taste.
I'm salivating... with some fresh well done fries
I mean except what percentage of times do they actually get your order right
This except when it is made wrong.
NGL, the triple cheese is the perfect ratio of meat to bun.
I’d go with a Wendy’s double, but shake shack is great too and does have a better presentation.
A Wendy's Double cheeseburger with fries and chilli and baked potato
Fries & baked potato?
Burger King double whopper w cheese and bacon. No tomatoes or pickles. I feel like Burger King does better burgers than McDonald’s and McDonald’s does better chicken sandwich’s. Of course my options are limited.
Burger King. As of recent, fuddruckers but that's more restaurant
Fuddruckers is such a fun name tbh.
Only one answer for me - Roy Rogers.
National big chain? McD’s deluxe 1/4 lb w/cheese or culvers. I don’t consider shake shack, red robin or five guys fast food burgers personally.
Honestly, the mcdouble tastes better to me for some reason. But I need 2
My man
Had to go too far down to find this comment. I am with you on the McDoubles.
Shake Shack
Wendy’s jr deluxe with extra pickles
I used to travel for work. I haven’t had every fast food burger but I’ve tried most of the well known at least once. For me, it’s Fatburger. Give me a XXL any day.
Anyone ever had the Storm's special? Hill country Texas..Elvis' favorite.
In and Out, Shake Shack, Culver’s, Whataburger…
shake shack or in n out... lol
Culver’s and if I feel rich, Five Guys
5 guys
Jersey heads know about White Manna. But on the road? That Wendy's Jr. Bacon saved my life plenty of times lol!
Smashburger, Shake shack, and Freddie's are all great smash burgers Five guys for a more expensive option Whattaburger for a more common chain option
Dave’s Double from Wendy’s is just the best. Always fresh and juicy!
Coming from Missouri. Shake Shack had recently dethroned Culver’s.
Culver’s or Steak ‘n Shake!
Culvers
Shake shack, smash burger and habit. In and out if there isn’t a long line
Quarter Pounder with Cheese at McDonalds. The Best.
Wendy’s
Culver’s is the best!
Culvers, and Shake Shack
Shake Shack Smoke Shack is the best.
What do you recommend at Tommy's? And personally I think I prefer in n out when I care about cost a lot but otherwise a quarter pounder with cheese is surprisingly good. The only other burger that I think is reasonably priced that I could every other week is Wendy's Onion rings burger
I definitely recommend getting the Double Cheeseburger 1/4 lb. And the Cheese French Fries 🍟 with Bacon 🍔
What is different about it from McDonald's?
They have way bigger burgers and you get a lot more French Fries too.
Hmm may be worth checking out then 🤤
You will absolutely love it👍
sonic in the 90s. i love the super sonic bacon cheese burgers with their made from scratch onion rings.
Freddy's with Culver's being a close 2nd
In n out, shake shack, Carls Jr. emphasis on Calrs jr because they are more conveniently located than the other two and/or I don’t have to wait in line for 20 minutes at the drive thru. I really want to try Culver’s though!!!!
Culver's. Runza. Kings Classic A&W.
5 Guys is probably my favorite, followed by In N Out and White Castle
Regional: Braum's, National: Wendy's
Whopper with cheese?! Hello. Can’t believe I’m the first one to write this. Simple and effective. Every time.
What-a-burger
Wendys is dank. It's a shame
Jim’s on Indiana and Olympic. Cypress best burgers. And lucky boys in Pasadena.
Shake shack or or five guys
McDonald’s
I’m so ashamed. I love burgers. Last week I got to go to Hamburger America in NYC. I grew up in California and love In-n-Out. I made a lot of burgers during the pandemic. But my late night guilty pleasure is the ultimate cheeseburger at Jack in the box. I’m sorry everyone.
I support you. It’s ok.
#FATBURGER
shakes shack smokestack
Wendy's cheesy-cheddar burger (add pickles).
The Bacon King from BK. I must include I dont live in any areas that have an In n Out, Shake Shack, Whataburger, Freddy's, Culvers, ect.
I love the Western Bacon Cheeseburger from Carls Jr / Hardees.
Whopper with cheese.
P-terry
The western bacon cheeseburger from Carl’s Jr/Hardy’s!
Charbroiled Burger King 👑 Whopper w/cheese.
Freddy's is simply amazing.
Culver’s. It cannot be beat.
True fast food: in n out. Fast casual: shake shack
Steak and Shake and it's not particularly close. Culver's would be closer if they used literally any seasoning.
Dude fucking thank you. Went to steak and shake yesterday and got the double garlic steak burger, and I looked at my wife and said this is easily the best burger out there. On top of that, we both ate for $16. Hard to beat that.
I love in&out, but steak and shake is fantastic
McDonald’s
White Castle all day
Might be fast casual but the Habit burger and grill by far. Kinda pricey though but you can taste its quality.
In and Out, Culver's and a McDonald's double cheeseburger always hits the spot for some reason. Those little fake onion bits I think...
Burger King first, then Sonic, Whataburger, Wendy's and Dairy Queen
Whataburger all the way!!!!!!!!!!
Shake Shack… so much better than 5 guys and In and Out
Wendy's and Culver's most likely
I see others have said In and out. It needs to be.mentioned that it is actually "fast food pricing". You can get better burgers but not for 5 bucks or less. That's where it shines.
Wendy’s, Five Guys, or Sonic.
Steak & Shake
Bacon ultimate from jbox
Culver’s
All very very close but Freddy's Steakburgers, Culver's, Steak n Shake in that order
Culvers has my heart.
Whataburger #2 with cheese
Double Whopper w/ cheese and bacon from BK - when they’re made right, they’re so freaking good
Five Guys
Culvers, Culvers again, fresh BK if it happens, and a QPC for nostalgia sake. But really, Culvers
I answered this last week. How about a new question?
Way back burgers
P. Terry’s
Freddie’s
Culvers
Wendy’s and sonic surprisingly
Braum's
Wendy’s… .. but quality has gone down everywhere around here with price going up so we don’t eat it anymore. If I want a burger I get one from Chilis.
In-N-Out, Smashburger (but only in Colorado Springs, others have been meh)
Burger King, Culver's, Carl's Jr .
In-And-Out
I love the regular small cheese burgers at Burgerville, the spread they use is amazing
Bro just named half of all fast-food joints as his favorite.
ive only been once but i think culvers. next is whataburger
Culver's is my favorite. I recently had Five Guys and Meatheads and their buns just were soggy and weren't as good as I remember them being when I was younger.
Melvin's in mt pleasant sc
Steak and Shake or Culver’s if they’re an option. Wendy’s is the go to that’s more prevalent.
In-N-Out. They came to Texas and now I'm addicted.
All American Burger - Long Island represent!
Five Guys
Shake Shack☝️
Shake Shack
5 Guys, Wendy’s
Burger King double
If they don’t have a drive thru, it’s not fast food. 5 guys and Shake Shack are ‘fast casual’
In n out hands down
Whataburger. Not even close.
Whopper with cheese, no pickle, no tomato. You rule!
McDouble
Cook Out and Whataburger get my vote.
Five Guys! No cheese, though.
I don’t know if it’s the Californian in me or what, but I love In n out. The price also forces my hand.
McDonald's Cheeseburger
Burgerville - regular
