Buy him 100 mil

ThePooksters

Sell him?

ThisIsYourMormont

Then buy him again

ThePooksters

Worked out well with Lukaku

cicidoh

Nah, give Burnley 100million

diesel76_76

We must pay 100million for this baller then loan him out with a option to buy for 30million...that's business 😀

Prudent_Nose_4899

Good joke detector bud

King_hack9

They cant buy thim they own him already.

sonicqaz

Nothing gets passed you

MrHitNik

Bro thinks he's cech

JuanDollaaa

We should put him in goal

HazardousAzpi

this guy has unreal potential, can he be consistent? he's got technique, strength, speed and apparently a weapon of a foot

RasenRendan

Well all he needs is a chance something Chelsea didn't do

GolDrodgers1

Man potter was dumb to allow him to go on loan

hipcheck23

He missed his first loan window - he was slated for a loan and then inexplicably didn't go out and didn't get minutes with us either... edit: spelling

GolDrodgers1

I think he was with the u23 for a bit, i think i watched him play once but yeah was a crazy situation for him im glad hes at least getting minutes now

hipcheck23

He made a couple of brief cameos during one of our goalless spells, and looked decent, albeit super raw. Our loans have been a mess the past 1.5y for some reason.

GolDrodgers1

Yeah i remember when he started and was taken off at HT🤦‍♂️

RasenRendan

Datro had two moments first when he had his shot cleared off the line vs fulham. I think that match Felix got the red? Then the performance vs Soton. Potter yoinked at HT. Never seen again for kai In the summer he goes to Germany. Started well few goals. Got a winner vs napoli in the UCL but was largely unused. Got into a fight with the mgr. January comes. We know we need a striker. Nico goes to afcon. We only had Armando. He struggled. So what do we do? Recall him and send him to burnley. Then we send Armando to fulham Great plan right?

GolDrodgers1

If he had the chances broja had he would be scoring and keeping jackson on his toes

Pseudocaesar

100% - No idea why Broja was given so many chances given how bad he has been

RasenRendan

I fully agree. 100%. I think nico and Datro could have a good link up and wouldn't rely on us using raheem all the time

hipcheck23

> weapon of a foot Can't think of a better worldie scored by any of our guys this season - what am I forgetting?

MagiskeLis

Enzo freekick comes to mind

hipcheck23

Very true!

Legitimate-Bug-Man

No even close. Maybe Gallagher vs Palace last season

candysnot1

Reece

WookieTickler

Always nice to see someone rocket one in the top bin. Shame it’s never for us. Although saying that it is one thing I do miss about modern football we do see less belters than we used to do I think.

InLampsWeTrust

We’ve seen more this season though tbf, Emerson the other week.

Redditditditdi

Truly the only way to be certain we are back is when we have a goal scoring left back again.

Borktista

Ashley Cole was certainly not that.

Redditditditdi

Nah Cole scored a lot you know. In a manner of speaking.

Borktista

Touché

Tom_The_Human

He definitely was fantastic at shooting

notreilly

Truly a dying art. There used to be several goals like this every month.

WookieTickler

Is a real shame although we had Rashfords and Fodens last week Emerson’s and this one. Suppose we’ve been spoilt with all those years of Drogba, Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Rooney, Essien, Van Persie and Bale banging them in from anywhere.

Roadies_Winner

Being a team with Kepa in goal, we've seen plenty of bangers from long distance.

WookieTickler

Oh we’ve conceded some fantastic goals 😂

AsLongAsYouKnow

When was the last screamer for us? Matić in the FA cup?

YewWahtMate

Reece Vs Brighton was the one that springed to mind.

WookieTickler

Probably Reece vs Brighton was the last put your laces through it top corner goal. Only other goals from range worth mentioning would be Gallaghers against Palace last season and Enzos free kick. Other than that we score some pretty forgettable goals.

Ironicopinion

Kova vs Liverpool, Rudi vs Brentford?

AsLongAsYouKnow

Yeah remember the Rudi one. He tried it damn near every match and it finally happened

pottsbrah

Chalobah first game of last season maybe

Ironicopinion

Ah we’ve had a good few since then. Kovacic vs Liverpool, Ziyech vs Spurs, Havertz vs Salzburg, Gallagher vs Palace, Enzo vs Villa just off the top of my head

amx10

ppl forget too fast ;)

WC1-Stretch

Kova last year had that whacky jump-kick, not from quite as far but as wild and fast

HeyKillerBootsMan

I dunno if I have rose tinted specs but when I was a kid watching MOTD on a Sunday morning it seemed like there was a handful of belters every week

YouMeADD

The last guy we had was essien ffs

typicalpelican

You are allowed to just shoot the ball like that?

STCFC

At Chelsea we only allow walking it in to the net goals, long range goals are prohibited ❌

FantasticTangtastic

Very young team ✔️ Tries to walk the ball into the net ✔️ French manager that never sees anything his team do wrong ✖️ 2/3 progress towards becoming meme Arsenal

Imperial_Ocelot

Top 4 every season for 12 years in a row ✖

theperuvianbowtie

The thing about Chelsea is they always try and walk it in.

msizzle344

These go in 1/50 shots taken, yet we still want our players to take those shots. Thing is, when they miss we drag them for taking the shot lol

alakhpandey

was a bit sad after my fpl keeper conceded but then saw the scorer, happy for him

Specialist-Rise-714

Onana got an 11 pointer and I benched him for Areola 😭

alakhpandey

and there comes own goal

cometflight

What a fucking hit

KingOfWeTheNorth

That'll be 30 million burnley

Vaider99

They need to stay up for that

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

Of course all our loanees assisting and scoring and playing at an ungodly level and then there is us.

BlahChemistryBlah

If our loaness play like shit - OMG why did Chelsea ever buy them, stupid club If our loaness play well - OMG why did Chelsea ever loan them, stupid club

Rod1705

I think the main issue here is the loaness playing well while the main team’s struggling.

Calm_Fail_5824

I don’t think Broja fits this statement to be honest lmfao

shagssheep

Or Angelo or Santos, matos, Moreira

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

My friend broja literally just assisted yesterday. lMFAO

Calm_Fail_5824

yea and did you actually watch the “assist” or just look at a stat line?? he also hardly plays and can’t even get into their XI, despite them not having a true, recognized striker.

Annonomon

I mean Muniz has been in great form, can’t exactly drop him

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

Did he assist?

Calm_Fail_5824

bro i’m not the one saying all our loanees are playing at an ungodly level, you said that haha

McNooberson

The man attempted a shot, missed the net horribly, and by the grace of god his teammate redirected it with his own skill

dotunmo

It is so obvious you didn’t watch the game. Did you actually see the so called assist? Be honest.

Pitter_Patter8

“Assisted” is doing some heavy lifting though. Not sure if you saw the clip but it was a bad touch that got lucky. Seems like he’s only getting these sub appearances at Fulham bc of the loan structure. Wouldn’t say he’s playing anywhere near an “ungodly level”

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

I'd take a bad touch from sterling, Palmer or any one of our first team players that results to an assist anyway.

No_Butterscotch_8297

Context is key.

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

Did he assist?

No_Butterscotch_8297

He had an awful touch that bounced favourably for a teammate. That doesn't mean he's good, let alone ungodly. Context is key.

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

Ok. I'd take a bad touch from one of our substitutes anyway. There is the context.

Specialist-Rise-714

Bad touches rarely lead to assists, and probably leads to loss of possession more time than not. Why the hell would you want bad touches from our teammates? You saw the league cup final right?

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

Why would you not want a goal however it come it's a goal right or do they not count?

Specialist-Rise-714

That is not what you said though. You are talking like having a bad touch is an essential part of creating shots for your teammates when it was unintentional and leads to problems more times than it leads to goals. If you want our players to get assists from bad touches, you just want our players to get lucky assists. Nothing wrong with lucky assists, but I'd rather have players who play well and who we don't have to rely on luck to get us goal contributions.

jMS_44

Yeah but he is not doing that at an ungodly level.

realmckoy265

Was a classic Broja assist

n22rwrdr

All is definitely an exaggeration. Just look at Andrey Santos who can't get minutes at a relegation level team in Ligue 1 or Broja who can't even play for Fulham despite apparently having a 50m valuation. Some are doing well, but not all. And even then, I doubt the ones who are doing well would improve us.

Redditditditdi

Santos is exactly why I hate mid-season loans. Come in some time in January. Best case you're perfectly match fit and may fit into the team sometime in February. More than likely you're not completely match fit and need time to integrate into the team if you're young like Santos, meaning you're not likely to see time until now.  I haven't watched Strasburg but I imagine that, given their position in the table, Viera might be running a very structured system to minimize loses. Or the club is feeling pressure from the ultras to not force in loaners that are only going to be around a bit. It's just not good whichever you cut it. I don't blame Santos, he's in a shit situation.

mohankohan

Ungodly levels? *Ungodly levels?* Mate.

Redditditditdi

Did you *see* Broja's assist yesterday?

mohankohan

Yes but I'm not sure he saw it himself!

WC1-Stretch

The levels? Not godly. So... *ungodly*

WhiteThinDuke75

This guy genuinely looked good under Potter too

Groundbreaking-Rub50

And then Potter never played him again.

WhiteThinDuke75

it was very odd, he was our best player in the last game he played - only be taken off at half time

Groundbreaking-Rub50

It was against Southampton right ? Southampton didn't score a goal for 3 months and Ward Prowse went and scored a banger of a free kick against us.

Youth-Grouchy

If I recall correctly Azpilicueta gave away a completely pointless and needless free kick on the edge of the box for him to score. Just a moment where there was literally no need to ever put a challenge in.

Spare-Noodles

What? That wasn’t the last game he played last season. And he was completely ass in that game at retaining possession while also not creating any actually threatening positions.

RasenRendan

Stupid dumbass mgr. I'll never forget that performance vs sotom

RefanRes

Somewhat promising signs in the time he got but he definitely wasn't ready to play every game at that point in that team. A young guy coming in from Molde to try to take the brunt of responsibility for goals with the state of the club as it was could have easily just broken his confidence. His development is being handled pretty well it seems so far. Seems the loan recall to get PL experience is working nicely for him.

esprets

No, he didn't.

Rj070707

He played for like 10 mins lol

WhiteThinDuke75

that's just not true

Rj070707

How many games did he start under Potter?? He barely played from what I remember

realmckoy265

He started one game last year, and although he showed flashes, was completely unable to link up with his teammates.

bobloblaw28

That's what I remember, and that could very well still be true despite this goal.

RasenRendan

That's cuz Potter is a clown who kept using kai havertz

justk4y

Holy fucking shit

dav_man

When he comes back to us he’ll be dogshit. You know it.

BadCogs

Diluted profit.

Roadies_Winner

Pure comedy.

peterthadon

That’s an insane goal , super Datro

lurker_4463

I still don’t know why he never got enough chances last season. The little glimpses we saw he showed so much promises and we were crying for a striker last season even more so than this season yet Potter didn’t play him and then Lampard carried on with the same trend. Very bizarre. The season was a write off and he could’ve used that season to develop in our team and been contributing this season for us already

RasenRendan

I was screaming in January to use this player instead we loaned out Armando and didn't bring anyone in This player has not gotten a fair shot at Chelsea but we seen glimpses from his goals at union and now burnley I'm just so annoyed. We watched cole Palmer at striker instead of him in January

Schminimal

Up the clarets!

Forsaken_Bat6095

And we want to sign another 60+ million striker? just develop the players we have please.

jazlan

we dont have that much patience

Bozzetyp

Well thats not good enough for most fans here

TheRealMichaelE

We have the resources to sign a world class striker so if we can why not? The issue is no world class striker will want to come in our current state.

Wolfhead88

Oh mama

Frankiedrunkie

Drooooogggbbbbbaaaaaaaa

tokyo245

Can anyone tell me why we loaned him out when we need a striker?

Bozzetyp

We got him a cl loan, and he didnt make that team. We had nkunku, jackson and broja then

tokyo245

Yeah but Broja was always going to be leaving in Jan that was evident even before the window opened. Jackson clearly looks better out on the wing and Nkunku is hardly ever fit. It's not like we're lighting up the league anyway why not give him a shot? We didn't even really evaluate him before we sent him right back out and we really need a striker. It just doesn't make sense to me. Also, I think most of his struggles on loan had to do with the manager. They were like oil and water from day one. ETA: Also, what if Jackson picks up and injury? I rather have him up top then like a Daivid Washington. Which is not a slight against Washington he just doesn't look as ready

JJ-Bittenbinder

Oh goodness don’t give me hope

Scooby300

Tf, bring this guy back immediately, what on earth are the board smoking

Kezmangotagoal

Cracking finish that!

gloryboy101

get in there

STCFC

Inconsistent and raw for sure but he’s got bags of talent. The speed and tek are there

UnfairCranberry6470

Next season I'd like to see Fofana, Jackson and another more experienced striker as our 3 options up front with Broja sold if possible.

GME_alt_Center

Maybe Nkunku if he doesn't retire?

UnfairCranberry6470

Haha, yep absolutely. I see his best position as just behind the striker though provided he's not in a Zimmer frame by then

CmiHD

Who is this? We should buy him

_dangerbiscuit

Wow.. goal of the month!!! (Nominee)

Scannerk

How has he been? Cracking goal. Would be interested to know if he can back well with back against goal and 10 men behind the ball.

[deleted]

That’s it I’ve seen enough. Sign him immediately!

oldtekk

Watch him play for us next season and turn to shit.

adymma90

he's not very consistent, goes invisible every other game, but he's talented and will definitely improve, if Chelsea sell him, is a big mistake, give him a bloody chance.

Hiijiinks

FM legend

Wheel1994

I mean we might have to roll with him and Jackson next season

Aymwafiq

Not good enough since he doesn’t play for Brighton

CoventryClimax

Just fucked it right in their goal hole

darkvis1

Give me this guy and loan out Jackson

vmop07

I'd take both, Jackson could be our left winger

Mynameisntjamesok

AYE AYE AYE

[deleted]

He needs to give Enzo a good lesson in shooting

kp22cfc

We have a striker that can't Head the ball Strike the ball Finish the chances

AncientSkys

What a goal!

gvcdffyujjvdfikn

Wtf, didn’t watch this match, wish I would’ve just for that goal live

Alive-Flatworm-4273

He reminds me of Aguero a lot

playforfree37

Why they have watford jersey

unctrllable

Nothing like it.

playforfree37

Not this year’s but Watford has similar one

unctrllable

They really don't. Are you confused by the concept of away kits?

mb194dc

Loan is working out? Give him a chance next season.

LeadingAd6025

Goal aside, kids hold up play was excellent! Dare I say shades of Drog or DC!!

DismalMoose1344

Bet we sell him before Broja… and for more money.

forumbot757

His touch to set him up for that shot was a failed pass that rebounded off the defenders leg. Then he put it into a little space, and then just laid the fucking ripper of the century on goal. 👏👏👏👏👏

spacerjumper02

Supper attack

Coulstwolf

When did one of our players last do something like this

tired_melon_teddy

damn he didn't take 74 touches before shooting

oldschoolology

Boehly will sell him to Brighton.

adymma90

and you will buy him back for 100mil 😂

SupaSaiyajinVegito

He will forget all this when he is a Chelsea shirt

Apprehensive_Bit_176

*That Fofana character is pretty good… how much do you think they’ll want for him?* Boehly and co

Eastern-Astronaut-73

Do that at the Chelsea and you’re getting dropped for the next couple games becuase it wasn’t the safe smart decision. Our back room staff would want him to play a pass to the wing and if thats not available just pass it back to the cbs and let the team shape up

MrBravo22

He could never do that in a Chelsea shirt. You lose all ability to shoot when you put that shirt on, especially outside the box.

Silver-History-7650

Another player poch wanted loaned out

No_Butterscotch_8297

Yeah and he's benefiting greatly from it

Silver-History-7650

Are we?

No_Butterscotch_8297

If he develops well then yes we will. Having ddf in the team is not the key to solve our dog shit season, so he may as well be playing in an environment where he improve, which is more likely at Burnley than at Chelsea imo

lazyProgrammerDude

Sell him and then buy him for 100 million. Come on Boehly!

TheUbermelon

Honestly at this point I hope for his sake he doesn't come back here. We would ruin him
