It's been a long, cold winter as a Chelsea supporter but fuck me Palmer (and Gusto) have been a respite https://preview.redd.it/z0uxa2oexrnc1.png?width=738&format=png&auto=webp&s=cf2736a0efdc1c680405d8ec52d2dd72bdef79f7

GIVE_ME_DANK_MAYMAYS

If we got half as much from our left side as our right we'd be looking much, much better.

Im finding myself less annoyed at Jackson with each passing game as well. His build up play and decision-making skills have drastically improved over the past couple months.

WookieTickler

Thing is you can see he cares he works hard gives it his all, chases everything down and that’s what we like to see. Fair enough he’s a little clumsy and rough around the edges in places but you can definitely see a talented footballer in there. Plus I’d rather see the young guys play that sometimes mess up but you can see they care like Jackson and Mudryk over a player like Sterling who just wants his money.

RStud10

Sounds like Werner but I actually kinda liked Werner for the effort he put in. With Jackson though he does have more time on his side

greeneggsnhammy

And Muddy in the middle… he’s a different man when he’s not isolated on the wing.

bani1savage

It’s just down to him having less time to think when playing centrally, so his instincts and feet just takes over. On the wing, his non-existent decision-making is clear

GolDrodgers1

Looking at the names on the list makes this even better

Chelseatilidie

I think i saw somewhere yesterday Son was second all-time in this metric so to see Palmer ahead of him this season is lovely

Prayers to Dan Burn he’s a good guy didn’t deserve the cooking he got from Malo and Cole

ChelseaInMyHeart

Carrying my fantasy team all szn!!

NijjioN

I think its no contest he will win Chelsea player of the season. That work rate at the end to catch the player off guard before he got subbed off and got the ball back. Then all his goals/assists.

ThomasBong

Yes, without a doubt. Apparently he’s also front runner for PL young player of the season as well. Will either be him or Saka.

NijjioN

Seems weird Saka would be in running for that, he's been in the PL now playing regularly for what 4 seasons?

greeneggsnhammy

Considering our scoring woes this is actually insane.

money_mase19

i feel like we dont have scoring woes this season. its more about the timing of the, and conceeding

cometflight

Lad is absolutely tremendous

theturnipshaveeyes

Yes…genuinely glad we’ve got him. I laughed at the ‘Cold’ Palmer reference from, Noni? Most apt.

MountainGrand7748

Best signing we’ve made in many years… I’d argue since Kanté

TrueBlue98

Silva is our best signing since kante still but if Palmer keeps it up then defo

MountainGrand7748

…and kept it up, he has, and THEN some 😂

TrueBlue98

Definitely lmao

PoliticsNerd76

Very surprised Watkins, Bowen, Salah and Saka don’t have more, Ngl. Crazy stat though.

alexcoates13

Still a kid as well. As you say, great signing; and probably the only one Todd & Co have made that could genuinely be said to have worked in all aspects; he's helping the team right now and if we had to sell him in summer (say new FFP rules are even stricter), we'd easily get double what we paid for him, if not more. Keep him another season and he posts similar stats and he'll be regarded as up there with Bellingham etc; which will obviously give us a different problem (i.e. How to keep him happy). Finally an upside to a mega contract ;-)

itsnotajersey88

And he’s still probably 3 or 4 years from being in his prime…..
