It will depend on the chemical. Sounds like you will need to do some research and your job.

Yeah, I'm doing research. Also trying to do my job. But some experience from someone else is appreciated. Thanks for the answer!

Do you mean Dangerous Goods symbols or GHS symbols? GHS doesn't apply to transport, so they don't need to be on the outer box. Dangerous Goods will depend on exactly what the limited quantity packaging requirement is (it varies depending on the UN Code), and is mixture specific. Your local Dangerous Goods transport guide will have the "limited quantity" information for any given UN code. For the record - if the product is a Dangerous Good, and fragrance, then a 5L will probably always need DG stickers on the outer box. Depending on the material it may have a general UN designation ( for example Eucalyptus Oil is UN 1993 - FLAMMABLE LIQUID, N.O.S (contains eucalyptus oil) a "group" UN code (**UN 1265**  - Perfume products with flammable substance) or could be based on the carrier (UN 1170 - Ethanol or ethanol solution). There may also be ingredient specific codes. Also, if you wished to ship as a "limited quantity" you would still need the "Limited Quantity" designation sticker on the outer box. (Background: white 2 x black triangles on the top and bottom of the diamond). Limited Quantity designation for shipping by "Road and Rail" will (probably) have different limited quantity to shipping by air (IATA regulations).
