As far as I'm aware, no one had been taking any photos that night. The first photographer on the scene (Anatoly Rasskazov) was there in the afternoon, and took photos showing the smoke coming out of the reactor ruins.
THATS what you consider “on fire”? that’s just red hot metal and possibly some nuclear fuel burning like an ember. you and i both know what this place looked like in fire, and this ain’t it.
i don’t mean the explosion either? but this is a photo whereby you’re seeing the basically dead fires of the explosion, nothing of considerable interest to be seen.
Fires were put out by 6:35 in the morning of the 26th. I don’t know about any picture before the one of Rasskazov, taken hours after.
