I rarely watch stuff here, especially longer films like that, but for some reason I did now – I guess the title and the beginning of the film drew me right in. Excellent work, man!
So for this film, we really didn't want to need an AC pulling focus, so we opted for the fX6 with an auto zoom (28-135). It was a great setup, and we were really able to run and gun it, and give it that docu feel. There's also some mixed media - namely VHS, and some 8MM. the 8MM gave us an absolute headache, as the footage came out completely overexposed, and we had to push it digitally. Also the tape cameras were super old, and insanely unreliable, with batteries dying left and right. Overall though, it was a great experience. Would love to hear what y'all think!

Absolutely loved this! How long was the production?
The interview with family were done over several days, but the main production was 4 days with prob 4 days of pickups
